when I hauled p & g products each load came with a half inch booklet of paperwork that was never read by anyone. if companies even mildly gave a shit they could save money and help the climate. at the same time each many people also choose to keep like a perfect monoculture lawn with pesticides. it's pretty much the banality of climate change.

If you want the city to stop spraying pesticides that hurt native insect populations, sometimes it's easier to convince suburbanites to "oppose toxic chemicals in the parks where their children play" than to convince them of the importance of native beetles. It still helps the beetles, and you can probably get it to happen faster.
