I absolutely love how it's canon that whenever Will is particularly snappish or overwhelmed, Horace is the one to remain calm and play mediator.
Until Will says something particularly bitchy and then all bets are off-

I have so many scythe headcanons but I wanna wait until after I've finished The Toll to post themmmmm
We as a fandom do not stop and consider the homoerotic tension that would come from Will and Horace teaching eachother how to use their signature weapons
I lowkey want to write a modern au about the crazy shit Will and Horace get into in college
Maybe this is quite blasphemous to say, but the women in RA could've been written better and there should've been more women in general.
(More queerness too because oh my god the relationships in this series is so overwhelmingly straight but that's a post for another day)
I found the idea of the 'first female ranger' ridiculous because Rangers are an unorthodox group as is. Even as a child reading the series, I imagined there being quite a few female apprentices. Same with the battleschool apprentices because why not?
And this isn't to say that the women we do have aren't decent. They have a solid foundation and they're enjoyable. I don't know how to explain it but they feel really....constrained.
God, do you think Will and Horace would lay together at night and talk about wanting starting a family? But they both realize with their relationship and their jobs it'd damn near be impossible? Do you think that, when they get old enough to have their own apprentice, they wonder if that is what fatherhood feels like? How many of their apprentices find a parent in them that they possibly never had?
Will Treaty can be genderqueer as a little treat :)
Listen, Horace would start up the DC vs Marvel argument just to see Will get mad and ranting. He's a Marvel fan through and through but it's fun getting his boyfriend riled up time from time.
