A lány és a farkas különleges alkotás, és ezúttal nem a minőség tekintetében: mialatt készült a film, felkértek egy kezdő írót, Sarah Blakely-Cartwrightot, hogy a forgatókönyv alapján hozza össze a történet papír alapú verzióját, a hölgy pedig ezt olyan jól megoldotta, hogy a film eltörpül az ő irományához képest.
