CAOIMHE CALLAGHAN.
Cian’s memories of their mother-- the few that they have, before she left-- aren’t exactly good ones. They are memories filled with fear, and somehow none of it is their own. A mother, afraid of her own child; an anxious and frightened woman driven to desperation by the fact that no one around believed her that this thing was not her child, too weak-willed to go through with her desire to prove it. Though Caoimhe left when Cian was only four or five, her fear of them left a huge impression on them -- it is the force that has made them, for so long, desperate to be normal, so that no one ever looks at them with that much fear ever again.
