Hello ladies and gentlemen, to my ongoing quest in the world of Linux. Well not much has happened in my Linux journey lately and I think that raises a question whether to carry on trying to write this blog when to be honest I have pretty much settled down in the Linux world.
In the earlier stages I was experimenting with various distros and the likes but to be honest for a long time I have been running Arch based distros for quite a while. I set them up all very similarly and I now have a regular set of programs and games I install.
If I was still bouncing around I feel I would be able to give better coverage but I honestly feel I am now just not as adventurous or dangerous when I first started this blog.
When I started I had used Linux before but had always given up due to suffering with many issues which caused me to abandon using it. Now I admit that’s not to say I don’t still have the occasional day when something annoys me or doesn’t work as it should but now I have got used to finding strange configuration files or having to find certain aspects.
It no longer frustrates me to the level it did. I now have Linux on most of my machines and they all look similar, are set up similar so I feel that I am not really giving amazing insight or scathing issues any more.
Don’t get me wrong this has been an educational journey but I honestly don’t feel I am given the same level of content I once was. So I have come to the conclusion maybe it’s time I gave Linux Life a break.
Will it return in the future...Who knows maybe I will find something that inspires me to bounce back into the world of Linux with aplomb but for now I just feel I sit and look at the same old stuff.
Linux has become my OS of choice as a daily driver and I think that’s the point. I no longer need to find what is right for me. That search is over and I am happy in my day to day usage of Linux.
