It can often times feel like you are playing a very small part in a VERY large production. You may think to yourself, what is this all adding up to? Who will remember my actions? What real impact am I having?

The answers to these questions are not what many people usually think of themselves as: visionaries. You  have the power to create a vision unlike any other and then to act on it in a way that no one else can. When you realize your potential for life, you will see just how close to the different forms of "the divine" you become. 

Whether coming closer to the "divine" means understanding your place in life better, figuring out how to understand others more compassionately or having the fire in your soul lit so strongly you are moved to action -- nothing but good things will come into your life when you realize that a great power has been given to you. 

Your perception of life and it's limitations (or lack thereof) will determine your altitude and path. Take control and go after the things you want in life. Strive to be challenged, grow in the uncomfortable, thrive in crisis and lead in time of despair. You are capable of ALL these things if only you choose to use the power of your life.

Why do I like Airbnb’s new logo?

Airbnb released a new branding today. It was a major change—from logo, to web, to mobile app. The upside down heart-shape logo represents sharing and belonging. By releasing this new logo, Airbnb is changing its focus to a lifestyle brand, rather than a website where you can look up shared housing.

Flat. The new logo is flat and simple, comparing to the old scripted “airbnb” logo with dropshadow. Flat is still the trend and is a style that will last. There are comment online saying the logo is somewhat “obscene”, but personally I think it’s more like a heart-shape paper clip.

Warmth. While the old blue and white logo is colder and more techy, the pink color in the new logo is warm and sweet, which reminds me of home and comfort.

Lifestyle. The simpleness of the logo makes it easy to reproduce, and can be used for different purposes, for example, in the lifestyle products, such as key chains. With these products, Airbnb is designing the whole travel experience and rebranding itself as a lifestyle company, rather than some website where people can find accommodations. I think it is a smart move as Airbnb is competing with big hotel chains, like Hilton.
