This is how I felt last week when I relapsed on my sugar-free lifestyle. After two weeks of eating clean, home cooked meals and feeling great, I somehow found myself standing in front of the ice cream cooler at the gas station. Out of pure habit, I reached for a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Chubby Hubby and stuffed the whole thing down my throat. It was followed by immediate regret and disgust. The next couple days after that were filled with cheat meals (ie restaurant food and allowing myself to indulge in cheese and crackers at a poker game). There was a profound change in energy levels and not to mention the phsyical side effects... My painful behind the eye sinus headaches started up again and so did extreme gas and stomach pains. After taking some mental notes, I can contribute my headaches to consumption of dairy/lactose.
