A DR stan created completely new sock puppet twitter account to like her own arguments and multiple other accounts to go after me because I said it on twitter that “DR is not a feminist icon” 💀
Her first argument: “DR stated women’s right to vote two days ago!”
How, stating a first wave feminism demand counts as activism? How is stating “women have right to vote” in the fucking 21th century groundbreaking? I know there are still women who can’t vote but literally everyone would agree this statement and she would face the LEAST backlashes for saying so it’s not woke it’s pathetic. Let alone making this statement in safe places like UK or US, two places that passed the law to protect women’s right to vote in the fucking LAST century, where the targeted audiences of her speech are also mostly from UK or US this is so embarrassing💀how does this count as fighting for women’s right?
Then of course she would bring up “but there’s still women suffering! Think of the poor country! Think of the Asian country!” And obviously, since there are still women suffering in the world, DR doing bare minimum work *helps* these women, I was obviously ignoring these women’s suffering. Wow, saying DR isn’t a feminist icon is denying feminism now? When did DR hijack feminism? Feminist movement is her property?
I told her I was from Asian country, they immediately acted condescending to me and start to tone police me. That I was childish to be so *pressed about* this magazine statement, that I was denying “women’s suffering” (again?)
Of course “think of the Asian countries” is just a tool for them to prop up their white fave they don’t really care about them they only care about their white fave. DR and her stan’s fake wokeness is so on brand💀

First of all, I lose count on how many Hollywood actresses have used the term “first female lead” to prop themselves up in the last few years I don’t think this term means anything significantly anymore. Also this is taking advantage of audiences relatively short memories, there are many female lead before the role Rey and–
The role Rey is literally a man in a woman’s body, written in the most bland and misogynist way, which radfem would applaud💀 The narrative even used her, a woman, to send out messages that “You should obey to the status quo. Look! Rey is rewarded for being such an obedient good little girl so be like her!” Am I suppose to pat Hollywood on the back for giving me...this...? When, we have 100 times more rounded and inspiring heroines even in the 90s like Clarice Starling. Am I supposed to give credit to Hollywood, to DR, for this insulting regression?
Lastly, how is doing an actress’s basic job which is to play a role, groundbreaking, an activism, worthy to be called a feminist icon?
Anyway she’s still at it, using sock puppet account to like her own arguments, commenting on my recent personal tweets how she does not regret defending DR, or how I am “too childish to get pressed over magazine calling dr a feminist icon” or how I “used too many lmao” the joke wrote itself💀
It’s so embarrassing many of my talented peers who devote themselves to works that actually help women are too humble to call themselves “feminist icon” because they think this word is too heavy and means too much. But a privileged British rich white girl (who thinks she doesn’t have privilege and doesn’t consider her family wealthy because they had the least fancy house in the fancy district in two interviews) doing bare minimum work has the audacity to call herself “a feminist icon” 💀
