42-46
42. What are their goals? What would they sacrifice anything for? What is their secret ambition?
Charity’s secret ambition is to work up the strength to fight with the Order of the Phoenix. Sure, she’s already a member, but she currently only does auxiliary work for them. It’s something she desperately wants to change, but her morals and anxieties always seem to get in the way. She believes in the Order and every thing that they do, but it’s going to take something big in her life to get her to actually fight.
43. Are they religious? What do they think of religion? What do they think of religious people? What do they think of non religious people?
Charity is not religious, but she is fascinated by it, especially with muggle religions. There’s something very unique in her opinion about not only muggles, but the inner strength they can obtain when they come together and unite over something. Organized religion, good or bad, can bolster a lot of power in the muggle world she’s noticed, and she’s even fascinated with with the way non-religious muggles deal with it. Both sides can be so malevolent and benevolent to each other, but in the end all muggles are just muggles. It’s the little things about them that catch Charity’s attention and keeps it.
44. What is their favorite season? Type of weather? Are they good in the cold or the heat? What weather do they complain in the most?
Winter-time just agrees with Charity. There is something so special about the cold to her, and she just feels more confident when bundled in layers. Every time it snows it’s like she’s a kid again, playing around in the snow for hours and making snowmen for fun, sometimes all by herself.
Charity complains the most in the heat. She hates being sweaty and uncomfortable, and she spends a lot of time taking cold showers and staying indoors, where it’s cooler. People say she can become a little insufferable in the heat, especially because it makes her temper start to flare almost without fail.
45. How do other people see them? Is it similar to how they see themselves?
Other people see Charity as a kind person who shows nothing but kindness and respect to everyone she meets. She’s enthusiastic and compassionate and people know and love her for it.
Charity, on the other hand, has trouble seeing the good in herself. She often dwells too much on the negative, and obsesses over things she’s done wrong. She’s often blind to how much she is loved and when she does see it, she sometimes doesn’t believe it. It’s something she’s working on seeing, though. She’s a work in progress.
47. How do they act in a formal occasion? What do they think of black tie wear? Do they enjoy fancy parties and love to chit chat or loathe the whole event?
Despite what some might think, Charity does not thrive at parties. She’s excellent at faking it though. She seems lively and excitable, but there’s really nothing about parties that interest her. She’s not a fan of black tie wear--it’s too much work for too little payoff. Plus, she always gets self-conscious of the way she looks, and she often lets that get in the way of her having fun. While sometimes she’ll genuinely have a good time, she finds parties draining and would much prefer a quiet night in.
