Is it Hikari's dancing or Takeru's open vest?
After practice Daisuke passes through the gym, where Takeru's basketball practice and Hikari's dance practice is still going. Daisuke pauses, his heart racing as he watches them. Is it Hikari or Takeru that's making his heart race or is it both?

Daisuke grunted as he pushed the doors to the gym open.
Daisuke could just walk around the outside of the gym to the front of the high school to start his walk home, but his legs were tired after practice and going straight through the gym was quicker.
When Daisuke entered, he was immediately met with the sounds of basketballs bouncing off the floor and music filling the air. Daisuke walked further into the gym, seeing that Hikari and Takeru's practices were still going on. Daisuke wasn't surprised, his Coach did end practice early.
Daisuke paused, about half way down the gym before turning to watch his friends.
The gym was split down the middle, half of the indoor court for the basketball team to practice and the other half for the cheerleaders. Daisuke might have been a bit surprised when Takeru and Hikari said they wanted to do this in high school, but when he actually thought about it made sense.
Takeru was good at basketball, Daisuke still remembers all the times Takeru dunked on him when they played against each other. Hikari was good at dancing, and from Miyako told Daisuke, which he was only kinda paying attention to, dancing and cheer were similar.
Daisuke didn't care, as long as his friends were happy than so was he, and Takeru and Hikari seemed happy so he let them be. It just meant that sometimes they all had practice on the same day, the soccer and basketball teams switching from using the indoor or outdoor court/field.
Normally, Daisuke did just walk around the gym outside with his team, but he was tired today and he worked extra hard so he deserved to take the easy way. Daisuke never saw Takeru or Hikari's practice, guess his curiosity just got the better of him, which was why he was now watching them.
Or maybe his legs hurt when he walked and standing still felt a little better. Daisuke didn't know, but he watched.
His eyes were on Hikari first, her and the other girls moving around to the music.
It wasn't perfect, but it was meant to be practice, maybe they were practicing a new routine. They didn't have the pompoms Daisuke saw them with during games, but maybe they didn't need them for this routine. Daisuke's eyes locked onto Hikari, and he watched her as she danced around.
Hikari looked so graceful.
Hikari always has this sense of gracefulness to her, so naturally kind and caring, always treating everything with such softness. It seemed like Hikari was walking on air as she danced, like her body weighted nothing. Hikari twirling around the gym, her feet carrying her body around.
Hikari twisted and turned around, her body moving so gracefully. Hikari's hips seemed to sway as she danced, her skirt twirling with her as she stepped in a pattern. Hikari's arms were above her head, her slim body moving around all the other girls as they danced together like swans.
It was mesmerizing.
Daisuke could feel his heart start to beat a bit faster as he watched Hikari. He couldn't pull his eyes away, just watching Hikari as she danced around. Hikari looked so pretty. She was always pretty, but she seemed to just be extra pretty when she danced.
Body twisting around as she danced, hair and skirt blowing in the wind she created, Daisuke just couldn't pull his eyes off Hikari's body. Daisuke wondered what it would be like to hold that body in his hands, feel Hikari as they both danced around.
Hikari in his arms, he lean body moving though his hands as he got a better look at her as she danced. A better look at her short brown hair that felt like silk, brown eyes that were a sweet a chocolate.
Hikari was so pretty.
Daisuke's eyes went wide when he realized what he was thinking, all that he had thought. Daisuke looked away from Hikari, his face going pink as he felt his heart race at his thoughts. Daisuke knew he still had some feelings for Hikari, but he didn't think they were this bad. Okay, maybe he did know, he just wasn't as vocal about them when he was younger.
Daisuke shook his head, he just needed to take his mind off all of this. Yeah, that would work, he just needed to ignore how pretty Hikari looked when dancing and everything out be fine. Daisuke looked over at the other half of the gym, where the basketball team was still practicing.
Daisuke locked his eyes on Takeru, his blonde hair making him easy to spot.
He was the only person on his team with blonde hair.
Takeru was pretty graceful, but in his own way. Takeru seemed to have great control over the basketball as he ran around the half court, twisting and turning around anyone that tried to take it from him. The same way Hikari would twist and turn to the music.
It was just as mesmerizing as Hikari's dancing was.
Takeru was swift, and he seemed to move like he was the wind. Daisuke had trouble keeping his eyes in Takeru as he moved. Takeru turned around his teammates, keeping his back to them as he dribbled the ball closer to the net.
Takeru's hair moved in his wind as well, a smirk on his face that made Daisuke's heart skip a beat.
Takeru than jumped up, shooting the ball into the net, it falling in perfectly without even hitting the rim. Takeru cheered, and some of his teammates did as well, others seemed disappointed that Takeru scored.
Takeru was a good basketball player, Daisuke could admit that, even if he was still a bit sour about all the times Takeru's beat him during gym class. Takeru smiled at his win, giving one of his teammates a high five before walking away from time. Daisuke still watched Takeru, watching as he wiped some sweat off his forehead and reached down, grabbing the edge of jersey.
Takeru than lifted it up, using it to wipe the sweat off his face. Daisuke's gaze quickly left Takeru's face and went to his chest. Takeru was pretty skinny, but that didn't mean he have muscles. Daisuke could see Takeru's abs, albeit they weren't really defined, but Daisuke still wouldn't take his eyes off them.
Daisuke could see sweat drip down them, and Daisuke wondered what it would be like to feel Takeru's body under his fingers. Daisuke just couldn't look away from Takeru's chest, he was pretty hot.
Daisuke could feel his heart race as he stared at Takeru.
Takeru let go of his shirt, letting it fall back down as he used his hand to push his hair away from his face and unsticking it from his forehead. Takeru's face was nice to look at as well, his blue eyes that shined like gems and golden blonde hair that shimmered in the light looked really well together.
Daisuke blushed again, his eyes once again going wide as he realized what he was thinking.
Okay, maybe Daisuke also knew that he had some feelings towards Takeru, maybe since they first met, but he didn't think they were the same feelings he had towards Hikari. Daisuke turned around, facing the bleachers, it was the only way he could stop his eyes from wandering to either Hikari or Takeru.
Daisuke knew of his crush on Hikari, he always has, even when he was younger, but did he like Takeru as well? His heart was racing, and he couldn't tell if it was because of Hikari or Takeru.
Was it because of Hikari's graceful dancing or Takeru's chest?
Daisuke couldn't tell, he had no idea what was making his heart race, why his eyes were locked onto both Takeru and Hikari. Did Daisuke like Hikari or Takeru, or both? Did he like girls or boys, or both?
Daisuke didn't know, this was all so confusing, but when he really thought about it he realized that this wasn't the first time this has happened. Maybe Daisuke was too oblivious back than, or still as oblivious according to Miyako, or maybe he didn't understand his feelings fully back than.
He remembers how he was jealous of both Hikari and Takeru for being so closer to the other. Wanting to impress Hikari but looking at Takeru as well, seeing if he was impressed. Daisuke staring at both Hikari and Takeru, his heart racing when he saw either the brunette or blonde.
Did Daisuke like both of them? Could he like both of them? Could Daisuke like both guys and girls?
Daisuke didn't know, all he did know was that his heart raced at both Hikari and Takeru. At both Hikari's dancing and Takeru's open chest. Daisuke needed to think about this more, even if thinking about it was confusing.
Daisuke needed to get out of here, he's spent too much time standing here ogling at his friends. If he even still saw them as just friends. Daisuke turned, ready to walk out of here and probably spend the rest of his day rotting in his bed as he pondered his feelings over two of his friends, when his plan was thwarted.
"Daisuke", he heard Hikari and Takeru say at the same time. Daisuke had already turned to walk away, so he had to turn his head to the side to see that Takeru and Hikari were now standing near him. Daisuke could see their teams walking towards the locker rooms, so Daisuke was able to infer that their practices were over.
"I didn't realize you were here", Takeru said. "My practice ended early", Daisuke said, turning to face his friends.
They looked so much more pretty up close.
Daisuke could really see Hikari's brown eyes shine in the luminescent light of the gym, making them look bright. Takeru's eyes shined as well, like a gem stone under the sun, making his eyes swirl like the ocean.
Daisuke's eyes went wide, but he quickly calmed himself so Takeru and Hikari didn't notice anything. "If your practice ended early, than why are you still here?" Hikari asked. It was a fair question, but Daisuke didn't have an answer to it, and he certainly wasn't going to tell them what he was thinking.
"Well, uh", Daisuke tried to come up with something to say, scratching at the back of his neck. Daisuke could not tell them that he was thinking about how pretty they both were, how beautiful Hikari looked when dancing and how hot Takeru looked with his exposed chest.
Daisuke blushed as he imagined his thoughts, and he prayed that Takeru and Hikari didn't notice or didn't say anything about it.
His prayers weren't answered.
"Ohh~", Takeru said, and he recognized that tone of voice. "Your blushing", Takeru teased.
Daisuke looked at Takeru, the other boy leaning down so he was more eye to eye to Daisuke. Daisuke hated how Takeru was taller than him, but he can't lie, he might have imagined lying his head on Takeru's chest as he sleeps in his bed.
Did Daisuke really have a crush on Takeru?
It seemed like it, and it made sense when Daisuke really thought about it. All the little things that's happened, all the little things he's felt. Maybe Daisuke really was as oblivious as Miyako said he was. Daisuke glared at Takeru, the blonde boy having a slight smirk on his face as he looked at Daisuke.
It made Daisuke's heart skip a beat just like it did last time, and even though a part of him hated Takeru's teasing, another part of him loved it. It was common between them, it was almost like how they showed care, and Daisuke always liked the rush he would get when he went back and forth with Takeru, even if he wasn't nearly as good at teasing as Takeru was.
"Leave Daisuke alone, Takeru", Hikari said, placing an hand on his shoulder.
Takeru leaned back, and Daisuke moved his eyes towards Hikari. Hikari was always kind, even to Daisuke, even when he was a bit much sometimes. Hikari was never mad at how Daisuke acted, and she really believed in him when Daisuke thought no one did.
Daisuke was always happy when Hikari was kind, and she was always a little cute how she cared so much about everyone. It made Daisuke's heart flutter. Takeru and Hikari were so strong too, it was admirable they were still so strong after everything them have been through.
They were powerful, and the thought of being protected by the both of them made Daisuke a little giddy.
Daisuke blushed again, his heart and mind racing at these thoughts. He had to get out of here. This was so confusing, his feelings towards Takeru and Hikari. Could he like both?
Hikari and Takeru were making his heart race, both of them making his heart skip beats and flutter.
He couldn't take his eyes off either of them, looking back and forth between them with just as much love in his eyes. Damn Hikari's dancing and Takeru's open chest. "Daisuke, are you okay?" Hikari asked.
Daisuke focused back on the two, and they were looking at him with concern evident on their faces. They both cared about Daisuke so much, and that made him so happy, which just made him so confused.
Daisuke didn't think he was gay, but he wasn't because he liked girls as well. What was he?
"I I have to leave now", Daisuke said, needing to get out of here to think about this, or at least calm his heart before he blurts out his love for the two people in front of him. "We can walk with you", Takeru said. "Yeah, we still live in the same apartment building", Hikari added.
"No", Daisuke said, despite how much he wanted to talk home with his friends, he couldn't handle it. These feelings that were confusing him, it was all he could think about. Takeru and Hikari, how he liked them both.
Daisuke needed to think about this more, alone. He needed to get out of here, figure out his true feelings. If he liked boys or girls. If he liked Takeru or Hikari. If he liked both. "I have to go", Daisuke said, his face red as he turned away from the two of them and basically ran out of the gym.
Trying to ignore the hurt and confused faces of his friends, or crushes, Daisuke wasn't sure anymore.
Maybe he's been ignoring these feelings, maybe that's why he didn't notice or think about them until now. Maybe he's always thought this, always had a crush on Takeru and Hikari.
What did it mean?
Did it mean Daisuke was gay, or did it mean he was straight or something else. Daisuke didn't know, he didn't understand these feelings, he didn't even fully realize he had them.
Until they were thrown into his face.
Until he saw Hikari's dancing and Takeru's open chest.
