J: Which scene from the manga/anime is the most memorable to you, for any reason?all of the awful ones lmfao. for obvious reasons. but tbh the meeting scene between miyuki and eijun will always come to the forefront of my mind bc thats how it all started for their battery yk? and the reason eijun went to seido in the first place

K: Which scene from the manga/anime is the funniest to you?im blanking on particular scenes rn but anytime eijun acts like a puppy. that child delights me ;A; also miyukis poor cheering skills

T: Is there anything in the manga/anime that you wish had happened differently? E: Who's your favorite infielder?

ugh i love my infielders, this is such a cruel question. i love tetsu, ryou, and kuramochi a lottttt. i really can’t pick just one of them atm, they are all my favorite. tetsu steadies the whole field with his presence and kuraryou combo plays are my favorite and individually they are all the best. u______u

F: Who's your favorite outfielder?

this one is easier, hahah. i actually like shirasu a lot, but it’s jun! i’ve said this before, but where tetsu is the team’s spine jun is, in a lot of ways, the team’s heart. he’s the one whom we see the emotional toll of the inashiro loss through the most, he’s the one who shouts out his thoughts on the field, he’s the one who pushes back on eijun’s useless guilt. he doubts himself and is envious of tetsu’s prodigious ability to connect, but he shoulders the weight of the team with so much love and care. i cried a little when i read his side story chapter and i just want him to be happy.

P: Which character do you identify with the most, and why?

i generally have difficulty identifying with sports anime characters, really, but that doesn’t stop me from loving them, lol. thinking about it a bit, it might actually be jun again? i can relate to struggling with feelings of inferiority, with not being suited to the thing he wants to do most, and with becoming extremely emotionally invested in fictional charaters, hahah. also with scaring people by being loud and seeming aggressive when i’m mostly just enthusiastic, maybe.

Q: Which character would you most want to be like? Which of that character's qualities has influenced your choice?

i would really like to be capable of tetsu’s intense focus and work ethic, toujou’s general personableness and perseverance, and have rei’s sharp eye for potential. if i could only pick one... probably rei, rly. she’s doing what she loves and she’s damn good at it.

G: Your favorite battery?

miyusawa battery, handily. i love their synergy and fearlessness and general style of continuous attack. they’re both aggressive players by nature and working together has a sort of multiplicative effect on that and i love so much that they get straight up nasty together. it’s a dynamic you don’t quite see with any other battery, i think, and once they’re fully realized they’re going to be unstoppable. 

O: What's your favorite friendship from the manga/anime?

i really wish we got to see more of eijun with the akagi bunch, tbh, but i also really love his friendship with kanemaru. like kanemaru is so grudging about it at first, he tells the lit teacher not to lump the baseball team in with that guy, he’s so gleeful about being the first year watchdog and making eijun eat extra, but when eijun’s got the yips and is struggling he’s the one who shows up in full hannibal lecter gear and shouts at him to get his shit together. 

V: What's a headcanon that you have?

another one of these, hahah! mmm, let’s see. jun’s taste in shoujo manga runs toward fantasy and supernatural romances, something that is wholly influenced by his sisters.

Z: Have you contributed any fanworks to the fandom? If not, would you like to? If so, which one are you most proud of?

i’ve written some stuff! some links: fic blog, ao3, fic meme tag. 

as for which ones i like most, in terms of finished fic: two turtledoves, it’s only castles burning, and i think i’m really going to like the expanded/revised version of this eijun week thing if i can get it to do what i want.

favorite meme fills: miyusawa wedding, kuraryou bad ideas, atla au, christanba at the beach, chriszaizn pkmn au, miyusawa first kisses.

V: What's a headcanon that you have?

ah, i have trouble when questions are this broad, it’s hard to just pick one. but since i was just talking about that eijun week fic, here’s one that i may use in it: eijun is ace at braiding hair bc he made wakana teach him how when he was little and he used to braid her hair and his mom’s hair all the time. he can do all the fancy braids too, ok.

R: Are there any characters you don't like?

not really! ochiai sometimes, i guess, depending on what he’s doing. like he’s useful as an antagonist and has actually helped eijun grow, but he can be unpleasant.

 there are characters that i’m fairly indifferent toward but for the most part i’m really fond of the daiya cast.

I: Which is your favorite game from the manga/anime? (Practice games are included!)

ahhh, man, this is hard. i’m actually really fond of the kokushikan practice game? mainly bc zaizen but also bc it’s where eijun’s new form gets pulled together and he really starts getting his footing. i also love the senpais watching the game and their commentary. jun is so salty about zaizen that it really makes me wonder about their middle school days... did jun play pitcher back then or did he just want to? how much of his fairly harsh assessment of zaizen is bitterness over this fallen monster pitcher and how much of it is that little bit of him that still wants to pitch? i’m so curious!!

K: Which scene from the manga/anime is the funniest to you?

i already answered this here, but another funniest scene... one that isn’t as funny in the manga as it is in the anime bc of the voice acting is the one where furuya tries to join in on eijun’s YOSH YOSH YOSH but he only gets like two and a half in to eijun’s seven, hahahah. god i thought there was an audio post of it somehwere but i can’t find it. :(

my main ships are kuraryou and miyusawa, to the surprise of absolutely nobody who follows this blog, lmfao. other things i also like in very vague order of investment: chriszaizen, christanba, manakatanba, tetsujun, katarei, tetsukako, takano, masamei, shiranori, kanetou, miyunori, furusawa.there’s a pretty big drop off from the beginning of that list to the end and there might be things i’m forgetting but that’s everything i can think of atm!
