One happy chicken...I mean, dining expat

Bless me, doctor, for I have sinned. Although today, Friday, is a sacred day here in my part of the world, I could not resist the "temptation of my dining cravings."

At first glance inside the restaurant, it seems that foods served here are for vegans, but lo and behold, these are only artificial plants and is somewhat the opposite. (It is a good thing in a way to obscure my present "daily grind" location by these plants, which is in front of this restaurant.) I chose this spot as it is conducive as my location to splurge into one of Saudi Arabia's well-known food...

Kabsa! Kabsa what? It is a signature delicacy of the Gulf States in the Middle East with so-called "broasted" chicken (or any meat, though this place serves chicken only) plus a myriad of fragrant spices and long-grained rice called basmati. I chose the bukhari rice format (though one can choose how the rice to be prepped) to partner with the chicken, and I have to say this is a surefire hit, a great find.

I should have known this restaurant, Dajen Restaurant Chain, before I left my motherland. By the way, this is my second time to dine on Dajen. My first time was when I was still a neophyte in the Kingdom where my relatives, who served as my tour guide to the city of Riyadh, led me to its branch at the swanky Al-Faisaliah Centre.

The Dajen branch where I took my lunch awhile ago is located at Al-Ehsaa Street (also known as Pepsi Road), Malaz, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dajen Pepsi Road can be found near the following landmarks: Dr. Cafe Coffee, Mobily, and Saudi British Bank (SABB).
