Daksim believes strongly in the deities, and in their plans for Sornieth. They are the deities safeguard against the Shade, should it ever return, and he considers it his duty to uphold everything that, in his opinion, is opposed to that ancient enemy. He knows others, even in his own clan, believe him naive, that the deities have long since abandoned Sornieth to its own devices and seek only to reap the rewards of service. He and Lorrigan - a staunch Unbeliever - have had many arguments to this effect. But in his heart, Daksim knows that he is right. It is his mission, his Quest, to become all that he can be. To become all that the Gladekeeper and the Tidelord have determined he might be. He owes them, and himself, nothing less.
