Story:

“Daleablaze? I’m scared!”

Webkit huddled on his rock in the middle of the stream, bunched up into a puff of silvery fur and two round eyes.

On the shore, Daleablaze watched the kit coldly.

“You want to be a warrior, right?”

“Yeah, but--“

“Quailstar won’t make you an apprentice if you can’t catch any prey.” Her ears twitched. “He told me so.”

Webkit puffed even further, and peered down into the river.

Below, he could see the fish! He could see them!

“Daleablaze, I can see the fish!” He looked up half-hopefully, but the elder merely licked her paw.

“You have to catch them.”

He edged his way down the rock, careful, so careful, little heart pitter-pattering in his chest. And then, he tried to catch a fish, to prove his place, to prove his worth.

He never left the water.

--The leader at the time (Quillstar) basically forced her to retire because her pain had gotten so bad that she couldn’t do hunting patrols. She was very much not a fan of this, and even less a fan of babysitting.

--The warrior names of her victims would’ve been Chollaberry, Sheepclaw, Canyoncrow, Dunetongue, Webprickle, Vetchsnap, Onionroot, Wolfpad, Quillsnarl, Pearlyspots and Daisyblossom.

--Minnowbloom was the mother of Onionkit and Daisykit
