Knitting sweaters for my cats.
Actually, that was a lie, though now I really want to learn how to make mini-sweaters. I don’t think Moose would appreciate them. Anyway, let’s see…my most unusual hobby might be tadpole fishing in the summer. My parents have a small pond that get’s overfilled with bullfrogs and such, so it’s entertaining to go down there and see how many tadpoles you can catch within a certain time limit. They’re always put back unharmed, so no worries, but sometimes it’s extra neat because you’ll pull out something really weird like a salamander or a mudpuppy. Those things are freaky.
2. How did you end up on Tumblr (roleplaying or otherwise)?
Originally I found Tumblr due to a friend mentioning a free blogging site, which I’d always wanted to do since I started reading hyperboleandahalf. I didn’t really understand Tumblr, though, so I quit and moved over to blogspot after a while and forgot about it for about eight or nine months.
-cue England trip and two amazing friends desperate to get me into Doctor Who-
They succeeded, and I few months later I was bored and looking for some fun fanfiction online when I came across andgallifreyfell, which is quite amazing. If you haven’t read her stuff, go go go. While I was reading that blog, she mentioned that sh was starting a Master RP blog, and I went to look at that because I’m creepy, and I used to do RP stuff early on in high school and suddenly BAM. Interest rekindled.
So, I reformed my old, unused Tumblr and took a while to actually figure it out and poof. Here I am.
3. What’s your most prized possession?
Quite possibly the music box that plays Clair de Lune that my fiancee built for me the Christmas before he left. It’s absolutely beautiful.
4. If you could undo any single act in your life, what would it be?
I don’t know; I try not to live with regrets because even with some of the terrible mistakes I’ve made and painful things that have happened, good things have happened later that wouldn’t have otherwise. To undo anything would end up changing things I never want to be changed. Maybe that’s a lame answer, but it’s true.
5. What would you say is your best quality?
Me? Well, I’m good at being an end point whenever people need to talk and I don’t really take sides. Most times I’m stuck with information about everyone because I listen to everyone. With the knowledge I have in my arsenal, I could easily destroy a lot of friendships, or worse. I’d say my best quality is that I have no desire to use or share it.
6. Your most unorthodox ship? What draws you to it?
Probably The Doctor and The Master, if they’re considered that. It’s just, I don’t know. They’re so sad and broken, and watching Doctor Who and knowing their history in and outside of the show, I just can’t help but feel for both of them, and honestly, I can’t blame The Master for wanting to hurt The Doctor like he does all those years. There’s madness, but also the results of a sad, bitter loss as The Doctor just keeps pushing him aside.
Maybe it’s just me wishing there could be some way to fix that, as difficult and near impossible as it might be.
7. Pie or cake?
Surprisingly, I actually despise pie. I know, I know. I’m aware that this probably makes me some sort of demonic spawn that slithered forth from the fiery depths of Satan’s anus, I know. I just always have, and I’ve tried just about every kind. Key Lime isn’t so bad. I also extremely dislike cheesecake, and it all honestly makes me a bit sad, like my taste buds are broken and I’m missing out or something.
8. How did you meet your best friend?
I actually met my best friend in my 6th grade English class because she was holding one of the decorations I’d bought for my locker. I casually asked her how she’d gotten it, and found out that my locker partner was making a habit of giving my stuff away to try and make friends. Then later I ran into her while doing one of those middle school ‘door-to-door buy stuff from this magazine to support this cause,’ things or whatever. Knocked on the door and she answered and we were both like ‘whaaaaaaaaaat?’ because we lived within half a mile of each other. After that, we started hanging out and became virtually inseparable.
9. What’s your favorite fandom related activity?
Well, Tumblr, I suppose. Writing. You know, besides watching or reading shows and stories. I don’t really have any fandomy friends that I often hang out with besides my college roommate, and Tumblr is pretty much what we do. Although, every now and then she’ll rope me into watching an episode of Supernatural, which no doubt will be another something I end up trailing after soon enough.
10. Favorite episode of Doctor Who?
Oh, gosh. So many. Can I just be lame and say most all of them? The End of Time specials get top of the list for feels, though.
11. If Tumblr were shutting down for ever and ever in the next ten minutes, what parting message would you leave with your followers?
Pfft. Being me, I’d probably miss the memo entirely and end up posting some weird ‘ooc’ post about being attacked by a cat mob. Woke up last night covered in all five of my cats. They hate each other. I was so scared.
