@dalsooah
Seollal was here again, and though it was mostly a happy time for Sooah since she got to spend time with her family and friends, the woman joyful look became a dark look in her eyes as she heard such words, during the recent events the country lost important people such as the princess and some head of the families but that wasn’t that had the girl looking so grim at such words but the fact that she had lost her beloved uncle during those times too.
Composing herself the woman looked at Dongho and with a small smile she spoke such words that were trully in her heart “I hope so too.” She didn’t want to feel such sadness and rage again. “Let’s pray this year will be gentler on all us...”
when you are born into the military life, hearing stories from the battlefield growing up to stepping on one yourself, death becomes almost a normal occurrence. but some loss made far more impact than the rest based on a personal basis; and this seollal seemed more cold, quiet than before. the country mourned the passing of a royalty and loyal servants of the court, and he too, send his wishes to those family whose had it harder than the rest.
the furrow of his brows eased up slightly at the woman’s words, nodding. dongho was a man of few words, and even fewer around ladies, it seemed. eyes staring out to the quiet buzzing of the celebrations, he folded his arms, a standard pose when he’s at ease, albeit looking more imposing than before. “ hopefully, ” he started, voicing his agreement, but he knew it wasn’t as easy.
it happened once, it would happen again. but that thought was swallowed, kept within him. “ has your family been well, lady sooah? i hope they get to enjoy a little break this season, as well. ”
