If you would like to fix your damaged nail with nail glue first start by thoroughly washing your hands. This will remove all oils and dirt from the skin and nails. If the nail is detached completely soak the broken nail in warm water until the nail feels mailable. Now apply nail glue to the torn nail using a toothpick to spread a thin layer of glue. Glues containing cyanoacrylate will form the strongest bond, do your best to avoid touching the glue at all costs. Press the nail back into place using the side of the toothpick to apply pressure. If you happened to have gotten some glue on your skin dip a cotton ball or cotton swab in some nail polish remover and run the cotton ball along the sides of your nail and nail bed. You may need to scrub a little to get the glue off completely. Use a fine nail file to file down any harsh edges or ridges to give your nail a smooth look. And for the final touch apply a protective top coat and let dry completely. Once finished you should have a completely fixed nail with no signs of a struggle!

How to Fix a Damaged Nail

So after weeks and weeks of trying to grow out your nails you’ve broken one! It’s a tale as old as time. Was it bad karma? Just straight plain bad luck? Is it you? Maybe your nails couldn’t handle it and cracked under pressure. Maybe you suffer from weak flimsy nails and they broke on their own accord.

So what do you do now? How can you rectify this problem? If you’ve broken or cracked your nail recently there are a few ways to fix it.

The first way may seem silly or simple but it really works! Start by cutting a small piece of clear double sided tape with mild adhesive. Make sure that you cut a piece that is barely bigger than the size of the tear itself. Then cover the tear with the entire piece of tape and press firmly. Be sure to check that both broken sides are lined up evenly before placing the tape. Rub the tape in the direction of the tear, you never want to rub against it. This could cause the nail to peel even further.

Make sure the ends of the tape are flat against the nail, if any tape seems to be out of place or hanging off the nail you can trim the tape using scissors.Although this is a great way to temporarily fix the nail, it is by no means a permanent solution. If you’re looking for a permanent solution you will need to use a stronger adhesive.

Hey guys, can anyone recommend anything for hair and nails? My nails are snapping really far down my nails it's quite painful and bending inwards towards my fingers. I've just had to chop them down to see if it will help :( also my hair is falling out every time I wash my hair, brush it, run my fingers through it. I have only blow dried and straightened and put product on my hair once in the past two weeks but that's not helping much. It's really noticeable that my hair has got thinner and less of it too when I'm not blow drying it. It's hard to cover too. I'm using that alpecin caffeine shampoo, it seems to help a little bit but not a great deal. Any advice would be great thanks.
