I rarely talk about it on here but if you know my irl you would know how much I love the musical hadestown, the messaging, the lyrics, the instruments. Every version is so beautiful and wonderfully crafted even with its own faults

So you already know I think of a hooky AU with them

If Damien was Persephone and Will was Hades it would make their dynamic extremely tragic but true to the original story if you incorporate it well. In the musical, hades and persephone are supposed to parallel Orpheus and Eurydice, or the other way around I guess, so in my opinion a ship that already is similar and tragic like this old song is Nico and Dani. They would be a great "young love" perspective to Wamien if they turned toxic or more complex

also, nico definitely would be a "player and a lyre"

I love Damien Wytte, you guys know this, but I really want to talk about Damien's complex impact on the story.

Though you could say it was Angela, I would personally say that Damien is the start of everything, the main storyline of this fairytale, that being the burning and the revealing of the Wytte family as witches. Because of this moment, Damien, somehow, is a character that subsequently "haunts the Narrative," while still being an active participant.

The way the twins perceive Damien is basically how we see him too, the amount of manipulation that the twins got about Damien from their parents, makes Damien an extremely important character in this story. Damien makes a lot of statements throughout the story that makes an impact on a lot of characters, like Monica for example and his speech about love. This also makes him a Catalyst character, which overrides him as a Character that "haunts the narrative," yet it still works when you say he's both, and I love that.

what's your favorite hooky quote?

I love when Damien gives advice to the rest of the characters, or when he finally is open about what he feels

“I don’t like lying to you. Revenge isn’t gonna heal you. I can’t wait until it’s too late.”

“Of course you’re not horrible. Just because you love other people? We all love many people in different ways or on different levels. It’s not a big deal.”

Ik Damien is regretful for leaving the Wytte Manor, but, do you ever wonder if he misses when the twins were young? Like one day he left, now their 13 or smth and they hate him. AND THEN it happens again, now their taller than him and don't have their baby faces or voices. Like, I would be so sad if I never got to have childhood moments w my siblings. Its even worse when you realize how happy Damien was when Dorian and Dani were born. I wonder if the twins realize how much their older brother loves them, and the other way around.
