Newt isn’t a politician or lawmaker, he’s a scientist. So, if I had to guess, I would assume that the Registry started out as a good concept, but fell into being such a hellish system when actually implemented because of the heavy rules and regulations that were enacted over the course of the century.

All the book gives us is that he was “Almost solely responsible for the creation of the Werewolf Register in 1947...”

But I see where you’re going. That he intended to use it to help stop the spread of the “disease,” possibly without realizing the consequences of Outing these people to employers/the ministry/etc.

The Registrar was created with good intentions! Or good intentions in Newt’s mindset - to register werewolves and control the spread of lycanthropy. He also, if I’m remembering correctly, set up Werewolf Support Services. It wasn’t until the 60s that the Registry - and the larger Support Services for Werewolves - fell into disarray.

@welpwomp and I have spent whole nights talking about what they should do with a Quidditch Through The Ages film. Basic idea was following the creation of the Hollyhead Harpies as the first all female team, sort of Remember the Titans-esque.

I want to talk about Damita.

I'm gonna talk about Damita.

Damita's moms are just the coolest, and I think how her genetics are, are pretty awesome considering where she gets them from!

I think one of the most interesting things about her is her eyes.

Her mermmy (Ilona), naturally has green eyes (which are shown before she gets beached), while her mother (Amahle) has brown mixed with a red/pink hue.

Can't remember if I talked about this with Gale or not… With Ilona's unique mermaid genetic, and being created by god (or in this case, goddess); the magic (the witch red color) in Amahle's eyes would completely go over to cover Damita's irises giving her, her cute raspberry colored eyes. c:

It could also explain why Damita is familiar with magic. Amahle's gonna be a minor witch that deals with potions!

Then her hair! Ilona's in certainly free-flowing while Amahle's is curlier. Damita's is definitely more curvy (like her body c; ).

And last, her tolerance to put up with her crazy, lovable, wife Jay.

Jay is all over the place, prefers sweets, but is one of the biggest love bugs (behind closed doors~).

Please correct me if I got something wrong with Damita, Gale. ;v;

THE THEME IS ALL NEW AND PRETTY AND I LIKE IT a+ work. You don't change your theme all that often, which thus begs the (rather dull) questions of a). what makes you look at your blog theme and go "hm time for a change" and b). what do you look for in a new blog theme?

Oh hmmm. Efficiency in both cases. I really liked the old theme but it was a tad confusing I think. And the posts themselves were too small. Not comfortable to read. 

I usually look for something that has a lot of places to put links. Like tabs or boxes. Because we are kind of known for holding cosplay information, I want to make sure our followers can find whatever answer, ask, or tutorial they need. And also some sort of design that focuses on images. Cause we market our cosplay and need to put it on display.
