Reading this book left me breathless. I knew there was an underground scene that kept things outta place, always using raw words to deliver a sweet speech, but never thought of finding a short book 'bout these mad bums. Cake, Ayers, Furey and Murphy came to say it loud when everybody was listening. Especially when Velvet Underground is for whom the bells toll. Perhaps it's the same now, perhaps it's always been like that: wolves howl to feed the pac. Sure they were misfits, not much like beats, far from any easy road, but paved the way for us: The Untold. When u come to BDC, you get this feeling of being on the wrong side of history, just like big places do. You either see great things or bad people, or you deal with wrong fellas when time's right. No matter how romantic or bohème or dumb or idealist or artist or rubbish or junkie or selfish or mad, BDC's never gonna be a good place to die. Con diecisiete años, no puedes ser formal.
