Unpopular opinion: I think that he abused Caroline, there's no way around that with technicalities or "the writers said that he didn't". I'm far from okay with what he did, but part of loving someone is to acknowledge the good and the bad about them, and I think we should stop trying to excuse or ignore what he did to her.
