Since the As I'Ve Written was published in the universe, and on the Luofu too, what do you think are the Preceptors' reaction towards Dan Heng's new form and the story of his 1000 years of yearning written there 😂

While I'd like to say the Preceptors aren't paying as close attention to Dan Heng's movements as before, thanks to 1 - His absolution and integration into the Astral Express Crew and 2 - Bailu herself showing promise as a High Elder which is probably more interesting, we all know these stuffy old Vidyadharas are still going to be keeping an eye on poor Dan Heng.

I know for a fact they're interested in the power of the Permanence reawakening, but for now their hands are pretty much tied because they don't want to overstep while the AE is still a valuable ally to the Luofu, and Dan Heng isn't in their clutches any longer. But... I bet a few of them are still scheming in the shadows...

AS FOR THE YEARNING!! I bet an emergency conference was held to discuss Dan Heng's very clear attachment to Stelle. Many of them are concerned about this romantic implication (after all, the High Elder blood is practically royal and while some of the Preceptors wanted to do away with the title entirely during Dan Feng's time, many of them still hold the High Elder with the utmost regard). They don't want the High Elder to take the hand of a filthy, loud-mouthed, baseball bat-wielding raccoon - even if Stelle has helped the Luofu out of a pinch on more than one occassion. A lot of them are still set in their old, biased ways. Hang in there Dan Heng!!! Hang in there Stelle!!!!

Also, some of them are concerned with the lengths that Dan Heng went to find Stelle. 1000 years of finding someone is no joke!!! Imagine how much that yearning would backfire if Stelle were to die - no doubt another unpardonable sin would occur and the Luofu Preceptors have already had to deal with that once before.

(I'm not sure if any of the conversation between Dan Heng and Dan Feng was recorded in As I've Written but if it was then everyone has a bigger problem because Dan Heng has outright stated that he would do anything and everything to save Stelle and March.)

So yeah, the Preceptors are definitely on edge after Amphoreus - while Dan Heng is out of their clutches right now, the Transmutation Arcanum is still awol (my personal hc is that Dan Feng hid it inside of himself and now it's bonded to Dan Heng) which they're probably still scheming and plotting over. Dan Heng had better watch his step with his Permansor Terrae form on the Luofu, because if the Preceptors manage to analyse his power of the permanence, that could be used to fuel their own agendas.

A lot of doom and gloom! On a slightly more hilarious(?) note, I like to think that Jing Yuan worked himself up into a minor panic over Dan Heng's Permansor Terrae form because all those golden horns and vines and things look like one of the mara-struck lmao. He was probably stressing that another one of his old (new) friends have succumbed to the mara. It all gets sorted out when they meet up again ahahaaha.

P.S. Stelle will bat any Preceptor away who tries laying hands on Dan Heng. They're inseperable now.
