I'm glad I'm not the only that thinks Welt has been under utilized in this chapter. Like didn't he mention having a kid at one point and no one reacted at all? I get that Planarcadia is very Himeko focused but I was hoping for Welt to get idk something after Amphoreus. Sometimes I think Hoyo just doesn't know what to do with him.

EXACTLY!! even WITH the himeko focus, we got barely ANYTHING from or about welt, the trailblazer who's been with him the longest AND whose main motivation for this journey has been to SAVE himeko!! like, the story practically writes itself! but instead, we got nothing except the tiniest little crumbs of welt lore (which i do personally believe they're using to build up to a Larger Welt Focus in 5.x, but still) that aren't even commented on by others. like what do you mean he can teleport people now? we aren't going to address that? based on how they framed it when he did it the first time in 4.0, it's not something that the trailblazer (and by extension we the players) were already aware of, so it makes no sense for there to not be some kind of conversation about it. and YEAH, he DID bring up his son, as well as his parents, and neither trailblazer nor march said ANYTHING?? yeah, we can just assume that he must have already told them at some point (excluding the reference in yukong's companion mission, since they barely reacted then either) but it would be nice to see them even acknowledge his NAME or anything.

not to mention the sheer number of parallels between himeko's backstory and welt's, any of which would've made for a GREAT opportunity to show them bonding over their shared trauma!! you're telling me himeko has a tragic backstory where her parent(s) were absent, she watched helplessly as people she loved were brutally killed, AND she had a dear friend sacrifice their life for hers, passing on the mantle to her in the process? and we don't even get ONE scene of welt going "damn man, you and me both. sucks, right :/"??? criminal. SO many potential story beats with him, and we got none of them :(

I have a certain Manga panel in mind for the kid Welt part but I can't seem to find it

Does anyone know where I can find that one drawing of Joachim with his dad looking at the stars with a telescope? I think I remember it being in the Second Eruption manga but the chapter I thought it was in doesn't seem to have it

Did I hallucinate that drawing? If I did I need some ideas to either replace this part or just draw it myself
