Seokjin is a homebody, and loves dates that can show off his many skills while also remaining cozy at home. Cooking a nice dinner together and watching a movie. Taking a bath or a nap together. Discussing nerdy fandoms (such as Lord of the Rings) while lounging around in a patch of sunlight. That's not to say, however, that the jaguar hybrid wouldn't enjoy dates outside, as well as more adventurous ones, too-- keep in mind, Seokjin likes to show off ability/capability and he loves to spoillll. Taking her out to a fancy dinner. More cooking classes. A real fishing trip off the coast of Cape Cod, catching everything they eat on the chartered boat.
$ - Making comfort food at home, pillow fort in his bedroom, romance movies, endless cuddles
$$ - Getting ice cream oceanside, walking along the beach and boardwalk/seaside shops, picking up fresh seafood to make at home afterwards
$$$ - Private dinner at a Michelin star-awarded restaurant (I'm talking candles, 12-courses, the works) followed by a stay at a very nice hotel for the evening... think robes, room service, privacy...
Seokjin's favorite date will forever be the one where he and Y/N confessed to one another, the Valentine's Day cooking class. He'd love to make that a tradition <3
All Yoongi really cares about is quality time with Y/N, and could turn even a grocery date into something romantic, but he'd love a shared interest date. Bar-hopping the best spots in the city, taking the subway all giddy and in love. Picking out sheet music together and taking the day to learn it, or composing together. Then, there's the Yoongi who likes to show you off, and secretly lovesss a bit of glamor on fancier dates. Exclusive speakeasies, getting dressed up for the occasion. Tickets to the symphony, ballet, or movie premiere. Saving up to design matching jewelry for each other (omg)
$ - A piano lesson, a charcuterie board, and an evening in the game room playing pool and... fooling around (iykyk)
$$$- Picking out nice outfits AND accessories for one another, going to a nighttime market in the city/catch an arthouse film, eating pizza by the slice picnic-style in the Common
$$$ - Planning a weekend trip to a whiskey distillery or a vineyard for tastings, food pairings, and time to catch up in a cozy, almost storybook-like inn. Would probably surprise Y/N w the jewelry they designed
A favorite date of Yoongi's would actually be catching a movie at a drive-in, getting burgers and milkshakes at a diner, and pretending like it was the 80's for a night. Whimsy <3
Hoseok honestly wins the award of most fun date, and the best planner. Wants to get her blood pumping and surprise her! Competitive bowling, mini-golf, even laser tag. Going on regular hikes, a rock-climbing date. Making a DIY "waterpark" in the back yard (sprinklers LOL). Either it would be a fun adventure, or Hoseok would plan something sexy and romantic, sensual or relaxing for both of them. A couple's dance class, Tango or "Dirty Dancing" style. He'd learn massage techniques, planning an intimate evening in to experiment. Planning a short trip to somewhere warm, a resort or a spa~
$ - Making kites together to fly, going on a sunset walk, playing games in his bedroom later on such as "Never Have I Ever" or "Truth or Dare" until things heat up too much (OMG!)
$$ - To put those dance lessons to use, Hoseok would buy Y/N a new dress for her to wear and take her somewhere they could listen to good music and let loose...
$$$ - His dream date would be a tropical romantic getaway, perfectly balanced with active fun (paddle boarding!), relaxation (spa treatments!), and romance (ahem.) Making sure his girl is getting treated like a QUEEN.
Thrills and frills aside, Hoseok's favorite date(s) would always be one Y/N would plan. One in particular: a scavenger hunt that would lead them around all of their favorite spots in town, ending with takeout and cuddling <3
Dating would be new terrain for Namjoon, but he'd always take romance with Y/N deathly serious. She's his one and only mate for life after all, and he'd study what dates she'd love to go on, too. He'd find hidden cozy book stores to take her to. Events at the Museum of Fine Arts, with champagne and charity auctions. Going on a mini-roadtrip to Salem for Halloween, staying in a historical bed and breakfast. As he'd become more comfortable with his vulnerable, softer side, that's when he'd start to enjoy private, intimate dates. Reading to her (classics? lore? erotica?) while she takes a bath, discussing the book late into the night beneath his sheets. Camping, taking the van, stargazing. Creating a combined book of memories and knowledge together, over many dates.
$ - Playing several rounds of chess, paint-and-sip, reading each other's Tarot, falling asleep skin-to-skin
$$ - First, going to a show at the Planetarium at the Museum of Science, then catch some live music together, followed by a walk through at least two dessert shops for pastries to share later in the evening.
$$$ - Could definitely meticulously plan a long-term roadtrip hitting up every "haunted" or "magical" place Y/N wished to visit, all in the name of spending endless time with her, and the $ would of course go towards nice places to stay. Stealing her away lmao
Namjoon's favorite date? The day (rainy, hopefully) spent in the library together, ducking in and out of coffee shops, sharing an umbrella, playing a cat-and-mouse game of blatant flirting and PDA until someone broke!
Hopeless romantic Jimin would have dream dates prior to ever meeting Y/N. His daydreams would begin to revolve around her, and he'd always end up planning something straight out of a novel. Picnics-- he'd pick a stunning spot, pack a basket, catch fireflies when the sun goes down. Going berry or apple picking, ice skating, cherry blossom viewing: seasonal dates. Making something together, such as a birdhouse. The coyote also has a sense of wild adventure/urge for exploration, as does Y/N: Day or weekend trips up and down the East Coast, checking tourist traps off of a bucket list. Going to an amusement park as a date, wearing matching outfits, of course. Finding a state fair, eating from food trucks and buying each other trinkets.
$ - Gardening date, naturally! Sunshine, iced tea, doing some flower arranging together and picking herbs for dinner, an evening ride through the trails with Vista
$$ - Going into the city, afternoon spent admiring architecture, then getting high tea (with the mini sandwiches and scones!) followed by catching a show/ballet
$$$ - Tickets to a botanical garden at night, where they professionally light the foliage and play live music, a proper candlelit dinner, and attending the afterparty (classy!)
Jimin's all-time favorite date would be setting up a projector screen in the backyard, against the stable, and watching old classics with Y/N on a warm summer night. Surrounded by their garden, on plenty of cozy blankets and pillows :')
Taehyung is as creative as he is... intense, when it comes to the kind of dates he dreams of going on. He wants to get deep, get weird, make art, the kind of way you can only get with a lover. Going to late-night record spinning cafes, tucked away in a hidden booth until closing, chatting over cocktails. Planning and taking suggestive photoshoots, turning them into art books or even films. Enjoying artsy nightlife (local music, galleries, dancing) until the sun comes up, getting a little lost together. He's also... such a lover of the home, lazing around, clinging to Y/N as a date. Making shared playlists and burning them on CDs. Asking Y/N to show him how to meditate, or make protective pouches. Buying washable paint to use on each other for.... photos!
$ - They'd go out at the crack of dawn to pick up fresh donuts and coffee, catching the sunrise for pictures of the sky AND each other, returning later in the afternoon to develop the photos at home
$$ - Get drinks at the brewery (Salem's, in the fic), pick up expensive wine to enjoy with takeout, tipsily mess around with cameras at home
$$$ - Heading into the city, spending the entire day thrifting clothes and records for one another, check into a hotel for the night, then change into the new outfits and head to a jazz club <3
Hands down, Taehyung's favorite date would be renting a photo studio with money from his photography club and taking a boudoir shoot of/with Y/N. Pretty sets, props, outfits and uh.. lace! He'd keep snapshots in his wallet.
Jeongguk might not be known for being a romantic, but that wouldn't mean he'd be a nonchalant lover. He'd love opportunities to be protective, or even possessive, and would also love to please/show off. Taking her to underground metal concerts, but keeping her well-guarded from the pit, buying her whatever merch she wanted. Axe throwing, treating her to her favorite meal when he inevitably does better than her. Going to an arcade as a date, winning enough tickets to get her the biggest plushie they have. The elk hybrid is a secret softie, and would put effort into taking her to nice spots (he'd be a blushing mess) so he could hear her gush over him. Rooftop bars and restaurants on anniversaries, like clockwork, with gifts and desserts with candles. VIP tickets to her favorite band's show. Planning a date that would end with a fireworks show.
$ - Easy. He'd pick a new haunted location, whisk her away, and see what kind of trouble they could stir up. The only twist: if they don't catch anything paranormal, they'll find better use of the film...
$$ - Going out for all-you-can-eat hot pot/KBBQ/sushi, going on a nighttime ghost tour, horror movie marathon neither of them pay attention to back at home
$$$ - Traveling overseas with Y/N, even just for a long weekend, particularly to Vatican City or Transylvania. A romantic European vacation, in particularly spiritually charged spots with his girl is his dream expensive "date". Capturing evidence would be a bonus
Jeongguk's favorite date oh my goodness. He'd eventually find a tattoo shop he liked in town, and he'd casually suggest matching ink or a piercing. Well, it would happen, and they'd get to soothe each other through the process the whole time.....
Honestly and I'm going to try and say this without sounding too harsh:
Writing fanfiction is my UNPAID hobby.
It is not my job.
Again I am not PAID to write upwards of 20k words of fanfiction. My work is up on multiple platforms for all to read free of cost.
I am 27 years old and I have a life in the real world - creative projects that I want to turn into an actual career to sustain myself.
Again: Writing fanfiction is A HOBBY of mine!!!!!!
I spend upwards to a year - because YES, it DOES take me that long to write something that I'm not hinging my livelihood on - to write these stories. If you are a creative person like me you'll know that the projects that are most important to you are the ones you have the energy to create - right now, for me, it is not fanfiction that takes the top priority.
I have two more points here that I'll make:
1. I'm at the point now where if you're in my inbox or on Wattpad asking for updates or when they're gonna come I'm just gonna delete your inquiry or you're gonna be hit with the "girl it ain't coming!!!" Use some context, please guys 😭 Please note the rate at which the chapters have been coming out the past couple of years- obviously I'm not churning them out monthly like I was YEARS ago when I had the time for it.
2. I love you guys. Your support has meant everything, and I cannot thank you enough for reading my stories. I wish to keep writing and complete the stories, but please understand that it has to be at my own pace.
I understand frustration. I understand binge reading and wanting that instant gratification of another update. But I'm a human being. Trouvaille is nearly the size of WAR AND PEACE - that's a lot of words to guzzle down and process before coming up for air and asking for more, that's YEARS of my writing! Please consider that before asking me to pull another chapter out of thin air... it really makes me sad........ like did you even internalize what you read....
Kind words have meant everything to me, as well as love for the boys and the fics AND giggling about them on this blog. I'd love to be able to keep doing this, but logging on every time and seeing my inbox flooded with people annoyed that there's not a new chapter every week sucks the fun right out of it. Again, this is a hobby that I turned to when I don't wanna write songs anymore!!! it shouldn't be like that!!! like let's have fun again please 😭
Is the solution just turning to commission based writing? Cause truthfully, I I don't know what else to do

Ohhh my goodness STOP that is actually the sweetest compliment ever.... My heart fills up with happiness when side characters get some love... I miss them so much! We'll see more of them, I think Y/N is due for some time with her girlfriends. BUT ! I agree Ben and Roy would definitely drop off the best soup they could find in Boston. I haven't lived there in a while, but I'm sure there's a spot! Tatte maybe?
But the hybrids? Her BOYS? oh my. I'll do a little bulleted list for how they'd handle her sick (flu/cold):
Seokjin - Tries to make things better but might make things worse. Fussy and a classic worrywart. Would nurse by her side 24/7 if she wouldn't get really mad at him for doing so. He'd eventually find balance by being the one who routinely checks on her and makes sure meds are being stayed on top of. He'd order her like four new coats and a space heater.
Yoongi - The best one to have around when sick. Keeps the household running smoothly, like actually receiving the soup from Ben and Roy, keeping Y/N's schedule up-to-date, and of course, taking care of meals for her and the rest of the house. Has a very tender, soothing voice so as not to give her a headache. Always gentle when checking her temp.
Hoseok - Is trying to plan her recovery before she even starts coughing, taking her mind off of aches and pains.Thinks laughter is the best medicine, which Y/N agrees with, until he and Seokjin are bickering over her bed about making her exert herself. Shifts into fox form to keep her warm if she gets fever chills. Doesn't care if he gets sick too, and will loudly announce it.
Namjoon - Will get himself sick taking care of her, probably deliberately. Would get tired of her asking him to scram, because he'd be so on edge and queasy it would be palpable. Low involuntary canine whining. He'd feel helpless so he'd look up how to make herbal remedies with herbs from her practice. Sleeps with her at night to monitor her, never quite resting himself.
Jimin - Knows not to get in her hair, but he absolutely hates when she's sick. Helps Yoongi keep the household running, doing laundry and taking over Y/N's share of the chores. Brings her pretty flowers to cheer her up. If she gets bored laying around in bed all day, Jimin is the one who has the coolest stories from his past to tell her. Tries to hide his pout, but Y/N always points it out.
Taehyung - Beside himself. Distracts himself by being the errand runner. Y/N wants kimchi stew? He's on it. More Tylenol or Advil? Halfway to the drugstore already. Her parents need help? Taehyung's got it. He'd check on Y/N throughout the day and night, but seeing her so weak would break his heart. He'd want to be of use, so he'd dutifully stick to the acts of service.
Jeongguk - Honestly, probably the one who got her sick-- smokers have lower immunity (LOL). A chronic complainer, especially when he's sick, he'd not contribute much if Y/N caught his cold, too. Otherwise, he'd be trying to get Namjoon to lighten up. Jeongguk would be the type to bring down two armfuls of his warmest hoodies to toss on top of her for warmth.
