“Il profumo della danza” sono venticinque immagini, incollate una per una su spesse pagine di carta uso mano. Ventiquattro sono di particolari. “…anche la danza ha un profumo – confida ad Angelo una ballerina in erba –entro nella scuola di ballo e sento subito il profumo della danza…il legno del pavimento, la sbarra che diventa lucida lucida a forza di sfiorarla con mani e piedi…il raso delle scarpette da punta e anche il cuoio, il gesso, la pece. Perfino la lana dei calzerotti per tenere caldi i muscoli delle gambe…ecco, tutto questo è il profumo della danza…ma, forse, c'è altro..è un profumo che sente solo chi balla..è un profumo che nasce "dentro", fatto di attimi, sensazioni, gesti, sfumature, dettagli….".

…se vuoi veramente entrare nel mondo della ballerina devi guardarla quando si allena…- racconta -…il passo che lieve e naturale compie sul palcoscenico è il risultato di faticosi e quotidiani allenamenti. Il ballo è ricerca della perfezione. E’ una fatica di Sisifo. La ballerina, nel suo intimo, non raggiunge mai la meta ma, ogni giorno, anche quando è diventata ètoile, fatica per raggiungerla, sapendo bene che non la raggiungerà mai.”
