I feel happy and sad at the same time. I'm sad because of my reel and the feeling that it's kinda unfair when OC people compete in intermediate and it's SO demotivating. And I'm happy because of my heavy jig and the knowledge that I CAN do it. Not to win but to be good :) But this feis is most important for me because I finally enjoyed my dances. There was no pressure, I just enjoyed it and even if I was last at every dance, I'd be happy :) Btw. the firsts are for intm. light jig and single jig :)

Dancing and Fun

When was the last time you danced for fun? I asked myself this question last Friday as I exited my dance class. All this while I have been so engrossed in the technique and the hows and whats of my dance class, I had nearly forgotten why I danced in the first place. I dance because of surreal feeling of moving to the music and the joy that it gives me.

I entered my dance class last Friday and started grooving to the music doing handstands and cartwheels.It was uber fun. And the entire class went in a blink of the eye. I was having fun.I smiled much more and grooved much more. I sure was making sure of my turns outs and releves and all other technical things but I was dancing more. That was by far the best class I had in months.
