'Dance Moms' Finale Sneak Peek: It's All About Nationals (Duh)
For most dance teachers, a year where her studio won 15 competitions would be something to celebrate. But of course, we know by now that Abby Lee Miller is not most dance teachers.
In this sneak peek at Tuesday’s Dance Moms season finale, Abby is getting her girls ready for the all-important Nationals — which her studio has won four years running, thank you very much. “This is the culmination of all the work that the kids have done all year,” Abby tells us. “This is a big deal!”
But because Abby’s dance empire is based on bullying and belittlement, she decides to focus on the fact that her girls have only won 15 of the 25 competitions they entered this year. That sounds like a good winning percentage to us, but not to Abby: “I’m not gonna go to the racetrack and say, ‘Oooh yeah, I’m gonna bet on that pony!’ No. That horse should be taken out back and shot.”
Abby’s poor understanding of horse-race odds aside, she’s not even focused on her kids these days. Kendall’s mom Jill even calls her out for her “highly erratic” behavior leading up to Nationals. Is Abby getting too Hollywood? Well, she is looking mighty tan and slim these days.
Dance Moms airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
