No sadly I don´t know more then you. They were both announced, never official cancelled and only about the korean cancellation was speculated in a magazin.
Lionsgate just never stated anything more. Also no reason why they cancelled.
There are rumors/confidential information from a german Hunger Games facebook site (one admin apparently works for Jabberjays) that Lionsgate has financial problems and laid off people and they wanted to save money so the Asia events were cancelled. The admin said she had the information (which were confidential) from Lionsgate directly.
But we don´t have information if it´s true. Afterall she stated the news are confidential and she still talked about it.

No, there is no official announcement for a cancellation but there is also no announcement where in Beijing the event is happening or even at which time.
It´s now November 1st, the day the event should happen and still no information.
The news that both events were cancelled are from Quarterquell.org.
