Yeah, that's true; a handful of days is better than a good few months. I never really noticed the stretch of time until the BW1 days, since the fanslation patch was finished and released before the official translated version came out at all. I'd completed the game once over by Christmas, three whole months before it really arrived here.
Still, it's a bit jarring if nothing else. Spotty leaks from review copies I could understand; the game outright getting released early by accident is a whole 'nother can of Wurmple.

Ultra: If you've captured a shiny, what was your first shiny?
Depends on whether or not I still have it. Once a long time ago when I was playing LeafGreen (I was very young at this point), I caught a shiny Weedle. I don't have it anymore, so I imagine I restarted the file and forgot about it. Later on in another LG go, I caught a shiny Pidgey which is now a Pidgeot, and I still have it to this day.
Fast: Do you keep up with the fandom?
Yes and no, I suppose. Back during the late HGSS days was when I started to really take an interest in the goings-on of Pokemon and such, but the BW1 hype, the ensuing Wottergate fiasco, and such and such made me a little loathe to directly get involved in things. I'm content to make a handful of pals and learn about things as I go along.
Cherish: What Pokemon do you love the most?
I can't really pick any one favorite, of course, but Lucario and Ninetales are both top picks (predictably). Ignoring going into a gushing-session about the Explorers partner, the two compliment eachother fairly well, barring a shared weakness. The former's primarily a fast physical attacker who can soften the opponent up while the latter's a less-quick special attacker who's more versatile. They're both weak to Ground, but that's where the rest of the team comes in, of course!

Wake up, and typically stay in bed for anywhere from fifteen minutes to another whole hour, often on my phone. Once I'm out of bed, I shower, dress and eat breakfast, feed the dog his morning cup of food, and do whatever small things need doing if such (unloading dishes, loading dishes, bringing in waters, etc). I tend to go to bed around 10 or 11 and wake up at 6 or 7, so I'm often the first one up (mom sleeps in til about 9 or 10).
(◕‿-) : Three things, physical or mental, you look for in a partner?
Kindness and similar interests first off, but those are kind of a given so I'll not count em. Other than that? Mm...
Gentleness is a definite, and especially so now that I've had the back surgery a few months ago.
Easygoing-ness may tie into that, maybe, but if a person's easy to relax and have fun with, there's strength there.
And then I guess... uh, not-super-brash, I guess? I mean if I get riled or excited I can get laughing or happy or kinda loud to an extent but when I say super-brash I think of some of my extended family that are full-force choleric so yeah
