You CANNOT convince me that Daisaku Bandai’s whole character isn’t BLATANTLY racist.
He literally dies SECOND episode, and doesn’t do ANYTHING before it. We don’t know ANYTHING about him as a character and he just serves to move the plot forward
His design. His design just look at it. Lowkey having the only man of colour have a cartoony design also feels off, but maybe I’m overthinking it.
His high pitched voice. NO OTHER CHARACTER has a voice that high pitched, and it’s done to be funny. It just feels a bit weird, but forgiveable if EVERYTHING ELSE was fine
WILDLY INSENSITIVE BUT HIM BEING THE ULTIMATE FARMER. THE ULTIMATE FARMER. AGAIN, FORGIVEABLE IF HE ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING.
At the end of the day, Bandai was done SO MUCH injustice and could have been a cool character if he wasn’t an obvious caricature or” gag” character

Go look up bandai redesigns. They’re all way better.
