The Fold
We recently caught up with The Fold and go the chance to do a written interview with them. Check it out!
Q: What made you decide you wanted to be in a band? A: Our love for music and passion for being creative.
Q: What has been your biggest "wow" moment so far? A: Haha there are many "wows" that will vary from tour stories, to music, to just about anything that goes along with the daily life of a musician.
Q: What do you hope to achieve within the next 10 years? A: To continue playing music while making money doing it. We'd ideally like to have songs on the radio that represent our musical integrity. We love what we do and we want to continue doing it forever!
Q: If you could be any artist/band member for a day, who would you be? A: Dan - John Mayer. Mark & Matt - Kurt Cobain. George - Guitar player from Useless ID.
Q: What else do you like to do, besides play music? A: Going to shows, meeting new people, snowboarding, Full contact sports, motorcycles, video games, and anything funny!
Q: What are the majority of your songs about? A: Life experiences, whether good or bad. Writing a song is awesome because you can harness the way you feel to create something awesome!
Q: Who was your favorite artist growing up? A: Well, we were all different, but some staples for all of us were definitely Michael Jackson, Elvis Costello, Queen... and then the common thread for ALL of us was punk rock. That's probably what made us all decide to start bands in Jr. High and High School. We were all really into Face to Face, MXPX, NOFX, Smoking Popes, Goldfinger, Bad Religion and a bunch of other punk bands.
Q: Favorite place to eat while on tour? A: CRACKER BARREL!
Q: When I was 17, I... (fill in the blank) A: Was in detention!
Q: What's one crazy story from your youth that not even your parents know about? A: One time I pooped in a bag and lit it on fire and then put it on my neighbors door. The dad came out and stomped on it and got poop all over his foot! Hahaha!
Q: What's the most embarrassing thing that's happened to you? Either on stage, or not. A: 1. Fallen through the stage during a show. 2. Realized my fly was open the whole set.....I wondered why I felt like there was a draft on my groin area.....haha.
Q: Who's the dirtiest/grossest member while on tour? The cleanest? A: Mark is probably the dirtiest, but Matt is the grossest. If we dare him to eat a nasty food or do something gross, he will do it.
Q: Guilty pleasures, music wise? A: Nickelback
