Popped over to @matthewbrownla to check out the work by #DanielHerschelin and #SedricChisom for their concurrent solo shows on view. Herschelin’s work features a mixture of painting and sculpture creating a 3D experience that would for sure have a gallery attendant breathing down your neck waiting for you to touch it. Reminds me of the presence of #JohnAhearn but with the objects taking precedent, as the human “subjects” pose no identity. • Chisom’s work appears very futuristic but also telling tales of the past. This specific work stood out to me as a escapee trying to find their way through a post modern reality.
