I came across this cute little warming plate today. I guess kids in the 1940s didn't like their food touching either.

We closed the museum a little early so the staff could all go watch the Big Boy No. 4014 pass through Elmira.

Today, I installed a small display for our Great Car Thing fundraiser. One case has items related to Eileen Collins of Elmira who was the first woman to ever pilot then command a NASA space shuttle. The other case has some silver accessories that I like. And there's a silver disposable dress too. The event theme is 1969 moon landing.

Today, I realized today that I am the little elf who comes in at night and does the work when no one is watching. I cleared out the center of the Howell Gallery this morning before the rest of the staff arrived to make space for the Great Car Thing revelries. (As seen in the top "after" photo. The bottom shows "before.")
