Danielle Matheson, assistant editor of With Spandex, can't stop talking about her favorite thing in the world, professional wrestling. The topic's so big that this podcast's about to burst. Physical storytelling, the Randy Orton problem, the miracle of Dalton Castle, weird gay daddy stuff, all the emotions about Bayley and Sasha, Chikara is very complicated, and what even is Ryback?
Read Danielle's writing, and especially her account of King of Trios 2012, which you can watch yourself (for a reasonable price) through Chikara's web site.
Over the course of four days, I saw one TNA Impact taping and then all three nights of CHIKARA's King of Trios. This episode is a collection of post-show recordings with Danielle Matheson, Chris Sims, Kyle Starks and Gavin Jasper. One of them was done in a Waffle House.
Easily the greatest weekend of my life. Thank you to everyone that made it so very special.

Brooke Tessmacher can be a Knockouts champ. She can be physically strong, and in a political position of power. She can be anything she wants to be. One solid grip on her arm causes all of that to come crashing down in an instant, because in that moment of fear and helplessness, everything is reset, and her value, again, is zero. It’s the subtle fear that lingers in the back of any woman’s mind because it’s what we’ve been taught. Always keep an eye on your drink. Don’t shortcut through alleys at night. Be alert when walking by yourself, day or night. Don’t go to that concert/wrestling show/convention by yourself. Don’t even dream of traveling by yourself. All of these things – what’s presented on screen, what we’re told to keep us safe, and what we’re told to put us down – all of these things are connected.
