Usually, Rhett had already seen about ten students who just didn’t want to go to class by now. But it had been a quiet day. Maybe some teachers were out sick and left a substitute with a movie behind? That was, like, the only reason he ever went to class before he dropped out. At fifteen. He didn’t even get to the point where he asked an adult if he should go to college or not, and now he was expected to be the adult that told the kid to go to college.
LIfe’s crazy like that.
He’s somehow managed to turn himself upside down in his chair. Boredom is not his friend, it usually ends with him doing something weird and getting a strange look from other “professionals” that he now had to work with. At least this time he’s supposed to be on his lunch hour. No students are going to walk in and find him being weird.
But that apparently doesn’t extend to English teachers.
“Daniel, what can I do for you?” Rhett says, half falling out of the chair to push himself into an almost-normal position. One of his legs is still on the arm of his chair but at least a normal person would sit like this.
