Did you know that these two cats have something really interesting in common?
They both have theme songs created by daniwell!
That’s right, the same daniwell who gave us "Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya!", aka the original version of the Nyan Cat song, also did a song for the official Neko Atsume album!
Specifically, the “Kuro” version of the album- and here’s the song, "Youkoso, Kuroneko-san"!
Unfortunately, this is the only song on the album that I couldn’t find any lyrics online for :( The whole album kinda slipped through the cracks and isn’t too well-remembered today, even by dedicated fans (which is a shame, because all the songs are SO cute and lively! It’s a really fun treat for Neko Atsume fans, I definitely recommend checking it out) but I’m surprised that this song in particular got the short end of the stick, considering the creator of such an iconic song did a collab with such a popular game?
"Youkoso, Kuroneko-san" turns 10 years old in 2025, along with the rest of the original songs written for the “Neko Atsume Love” album, so here’s to more fans discovering this delightful hidden gem in the days to come! 😊
