So I did a video of me cooking my signature dish, chili. If I had been paying more attention I'd have kept my angles consistent, or has someone else film. I did neither of those things and the video.... suffers for it.
Originally this Kuma Cooks was going to replace Friday the 18th's Fancast because we couldn't get to it on time, but now it won't. For that, I'm sorry ; ;
The chili was bomb. The video just sucks is all. Here's the recipe:
2 yellow peppers, chunked ($2)
1/2 red onion, chunked ($1)
2 cans kidney beans (I used dark red) ($2)
1.5 cans of tomato sauce (16 oz or so) ($2)
1 can petite diced tomato ($1)
2 lb ground beef or so ($5)
black pepper, chili powder, cayenne, garlic powder, crushed red pepper to taste
rice for serving atop, pick one you like
Brown beef. Dice onion and pepper. Throw everything into the pot. Evaluate for consistency.
Boil the chili for about 20 min. Make sure you don't overflow your pot. Stir every 5 min or so.
Reduce heat down to 1/2 on a numeric scale. Let simmer for an hour, uncovered, stirring occasionally
(OPTIONAL): taste test and spice as needed
Cover. Let simmer 3 hours, stir on the hour
Stir up chili, remove from heat. Serve over rice.
That's how you make chili. It's so good, so easy to make, only $15 bucks per batch and this amount would be good for about 6-8 servings. Auston and I had 2 bowls a piece the night I made it and I just had another bowl tonight. There is still a couple servings left.
