i feel like it's worth stating that this is the blog of an introject / fictive / whatever term is considered correct nowadays. i don't know if it will ever come up but as long as i've got a few followers on here i may as well be up front about it, yes?

17. Do you believe in luck and superstition? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any lucky rules?

Due to OCD, the answer to this is yes. We try not to assign ideas of lucky to anything, as that is counterintuitive to the healing process.

It's weird - OCD is the only disorder we struggle with that we really wish we didn't have. We can deal with Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, autism, being a system. But OCD? It's unbearable.

We used to have some, however. Specifically, we used to have a guitar pick on a necklace that we wore every day, and then it graduated from that necklace to one with a peace sign on it. We've also been in and out of prayer before.

20. What do you wish someone would ask you?

I don't know that we have a solid question we'd like to be asked as much as we just wish people spoke to us more! We miss the old ask culture and speaking to people. We've been trying to be better about reaching out ourselves, but it feels like people have become more unfriendly over time. Why is that? Fewer positive interactions anywhere: Tumblr. AO3, conventions, etc. It's just sad. Sometimes we feel like a ghost.

16. What's a piece of advice you would give to yourself five years ago?

Five years ago... I believe that was during the lockdown. I'm not sure if I have anything I'd say relevant to the experience (since we weren't really going anywhere or doing anything), but as a general piece of advice I'd give myself, it would be "get dentistry done before we leave the state" and "the amount of pain we experience is abnormal, seek treatment."

Good morning!! Thank you for the asks! :)

2. What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?

The other day, Helio showed us a movie called Dead End. It is not the best movie we've seen, but it also was not the worst. I'd say more importantly that it is a movie that has potential, but the pacing! Goodness! The pacing was so bad!! Everything happened far too quickly. And I must include here that it was very, very funny, as the father in the film was portrayed by Ray Wise, and his wife's name in the film? Laura. One must imagine that was a sort of sick joke.

3. What are you looking forward to right now?

Well, I'm hoping our payment did (or will?) go through for new glasses. Ours are far too small - they leave dents in our head from the arms - and the new pair that we are hoping to receive will have tinted lenses, which we hope will assist us with the increasing amounts of photophobia we've been struggling with.

5. What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, etc.)

An iced coffee can be quite nice! I'm not as big a fan of the heated variety. Overall, I am more of a tea person. The whole system is, really. I've recently discovered the joys of spiced chai!

Alcohol is a no-go for us. We can have a little every once in a while, and prefer sweeter drinks, but wine unfortunately gives us a migraine regardless of how much or how little we drink, not to mention the heartburn. We prefer weed for this reason.

As for "pop," we live in a Pepsi household. Diet Pepsi is our preference, though we do also enjoy Baja Zero and some sort of orange soda. Oh! And Starry is quite nice. As is Sprite, though it has been a little while since we've had Sprite.

Other beverages we enjoy include apple juice, white-cran strawberry and white-cran peach (my apologies on our differences here!), Hawaiian Punch, Sunny D, chocolate milk, hot chocolate, and any kind of smoothie which involves strawberries.

8. Favorite month of the year and why?

October is a favorite of many here. Normally I'd be given to believe this is because of our birthday, but I think it has more to do with Halloween than that.

9. Favorite time of day and why?

I'm partial to the evenings, when the sun has started to set but has not yet gone away completely. It's the easiest on our eyes and our mental health.

15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

Ha! I would say most of our advice is given at work about our abysmal printer. Outside of that, I think our recurring piece of advice is, "Please seek treatment before beginning college. Do not make things harder on yourself. Get Adderall!"

Since you sent me a music ask, now it's my turn. Tell me what the opinions the characters of Pathologic would have on nu metal!

Initially, icarus was going to do something along the lines of an analysis, but then I (Dankovsky) decided to front instead to give you what characters would listen to, based on what we're aware of. So! Without further ado:

Rubin is a fan of A Perfect Circle, as an extension of being a fan of Tool - which I think is a sentiment that has been brought up before.

Khan is 100% a Breaking Benjamin kid to me. A classic. And his sister Maria listens to Evanescence, of course - Fallen is absolutely Her Album(TM). I think even "My Immortal" fits her broken heart about Nina's death.

Eva is into Lacuna Coil. I think about "Spellbound" and their cover of "Enjoy the Silence" for her. "Spellbound" especially works if you're an Eva/Maria shipper, in my opinion! Although I will say Pathologic 2 / Pathologic 3 Eva looks like someone who might enjoy Poppy.

God forgive me for saying this, but Andrey Stamatin listens to Hollywood Undead and Mindless Self-Indulgence. I know. I don't like it either. But he does. Peter... hmm... I'm thinking Incubus? Although if we want to assign him something adjacent to Andrey, I'd think maybe Falling in Reverse.

I can't imagine Mark Immortell enjoying the music very much, but perhaps he'd like the visual kei elements of Dir En Grey?

The Saburovs listen to some Christian nonsense like Skillet. Additionally I could see Flyleaf for Katerina.

As far as I'm concerned, Notkin listens to Three Days Grace. He's at that age. You know. Edgy Warrior Cats AMVs.

I think Vlad the Younger is a Finger Eleven guy.

Clara has an eclectic taste in music, but she is a Korn enjoyer. AND the song "Pieces" by Sum 41, when she's feeling down. I could also see her enjoying Death Grips!

I don't know if Aspity would enjoy nu metal, per se, but her band would be System of a Down for "Science" and "Protect the Land." Also I do think she + Oyun both could share "Take the Power Back" by Rage Against the Machine. (Silly addition: Taya listens to BABYMETAL.)

To Artemy, I give Shinedown. Both "Second Chance" and their cover of "Simple Man" are good for them!

@gemteeth assures me that Bad Grief is a Slipknot fan. Which is fun, as icarus has assigned "Duality" to Rubin. Initially I might've gone with Psychostick - but I think they would've played that band specifically to irritate Andrey, who I think would not be a fan. To round out Artemy's friend group, I would say that Lara would listen to Papa Roach... at least that one song. The one she relates to.

For some reason, I get the feeling Anna Angel would be connected to Deftones... perhaps a little Marilyn Manson for Pathologic 3 specifically... I believe this is what they mean by "the vibes".

And... this is where it ends! As for myself, I'm afraid that's not quite domain. I don't turn off nu metal when it comes on Spotify or YouTube, what have you, but I also don't have any on my personal playlist as of right now.
