hey did y'all know i have this thing called visual static or visual snow. where there is a constant overlay, and has been for as long as i can remember, of a translucent static-like filter over my vision.
so for example. a picture of my dog. the one on the left is the vision of someone without visual static, and the one on the right is similar to my own vision with visual static.
its very subtle and generally easy to ignore especially since ive had it my whole life. like idk what my vision would be like without it but i dont grieve something i never had yknow?
ive had other problems with my vision for my whole life too, like i was wearing glasses in kindergarten, but i never knew the moving patches of texture or the shadows shifting at night weren't supposed to be there. its always easiest to see at night. my night vision is horrible and thats probably part of why im scared of the dark. but yeah. another weird trait of mine.
these are pretty accurate. i experience all of these. its a neurological issue rather than an eye issue. no cure and no known cause. i just get to see the world. like this.
