Mitch let out a laugh as he pulled his undershirt over his head. He invited her to one of his games, and she said she would go, but it did sound like she was doubting it at the last second. Not that it would be a big deal if she decided not go (at least, that’s what he told himself), but he wouldn’t mind seeing her out in the stands. “We’re going out in public, Lyssa, what do you think?” he yelled as he threw his glove and his cleats in his bag. He had about five minutes before he had to leave for the high school, and he hoped she wouldn’t doubt herself for too long. Quickly throwing on his jersey, he mumbled, “Yes, I’m sorry, but you’re gonna have to wear to pants to my game. Unless you wanna get thrown out for being under-dressed, and I don’t think you wanna cause a scene.” Checking himself over in his mirror, he had just put on his cap when a thought occurred to him. He narrowed his eye, he peaked out the window for the first time since the conversation started, and said, “Wait, are you not wearing pants right n--?” The question was answered as he saw her stand up and walk away from the window, clearly in just her underwear. His eyes went wide as he looked away from the window as fast as possible, the red in his cheeks quickly rising. It wasn’t that big of deal -- it’s not like she was completely naked, and he could probably count the number of times on hand that he accidentally looked over and saw her undressing before looking away. Still, he couldn’t help but yank on the collar of his jersey and clear his throat. “Hurry up and put on some clothes because I’m leaving in five minutes!” He shouted out the window before he closed it, grabbed his bag, and ran down the stairs, hoping his red cheeks would be gone by the time she walked outside.
