So, it’s been a really long time since I’ve actually written anything here. To be honest a friend asked me the other day if I have tumblr and I had to tell her it was basically my instagram feed 😂. It’s been a crazy couple of years and having moved so much it’s been an adapting game and while some might argue there’s less adjusting necessary when you move back home, I would highly beg to differ. Not complaining, well maybe a little, but there needs to be some sort of getting used to in the heart and heat when it came to moving back to Singapore. But here I am, grateful and getting my music on. There’s so much to do, from getting used to my new radio show (shameless plug warning) from 10am to 2pm on Power 98 every weekday, it’s been fun getting used to everything, having a job for one, and making new friends. Trying to find time to make music and of course jamming with people. Urgh I’m know myself well enough to know that this may not last. But here’s hoping. Post every Sunday? Maybe we’ll see.
In any case, it’s going to be an exciting week, judging the Yellow Ribbon Project Songwriting Competition tomorrow, it’s always amazing to see people wear their hearts on a song. Songwriting for me is the best form of expression, it’s when I’m the most honest, most vulnerable, and these men have a world of feelings to express, so I’m pretty excited for that. GOING TO THE AVENGERS AGE OF ULTRON PREVIEW 😍😍😍😍😍😍(and as you can see I’m channeling some Thor, so that’ll be exciting). Got a cool little song I get to write for #LoveSongsForMom, I get to try on my freakin awesome costume for the SEA Games Opening Ceremony AAANNNNDDDD my single with J-Hype “Come Alive” COMES OUT ON FRIDAY/SATURDAY (depending on where you live) AHHHHHHHHHH one of my favourite collaborations, it’s gonna be a FREE DOWNLOAD so there will be no reason for you to not listen to it.
Also I finally bought a hard copy of George Orwell’s “1984″ because, I’ve tried downloading it (it’s available completely legally to download online here if that’s what you’re into), I’ve bought it on my kindle, I’ve put it on my phone but I. can. not. finish. it. So, here’s giving paper a chance.
