James smiled, and he came closer to the other. He pushed a stray strand of hair out of his double’s face before speaking. “This is your dreamscape,” he murmured softly, “Anything you want can happen here. With me, you’re conscious of your dreams. Unlike when you usually dream, here you can control every aspect of it. Watch.”
And James rested his hands on the other’s chest, closing his eyes. Suddenly, a grassy field of purple flowers sprouted up around them, seeming to expand for miles on end. James opened his eyes and grinned at the other. “See? It’s as easy as painting a picture.”
"Oh, sweet," XI found himself blurting at the landscape. "You know, I once mastered lucid dreaming in another life; completely forgot to train meself back into it. This looks much stronger too." He hesitated. "Are you really sure you want to be in my mind?" The ground shuddered a little under his shoes until he focused his thoughts enough to calm it. "'Cause contrary to your appearance, I don't think you're me, are you?"
