[Sorta AU] After Kurt and Blaine break up, Blaine struggles to find himself. When he moves to New York he immediately turns to Rachel, one of the few people he really feels understands him and is ambitions. Their friendship only grows stronger over time, and possibly into something more. Despite many close moments, and a few drunken kisses, Blaine has been unable to admit that maybe his isn’t as “gold star gay” as he’d originally thought.

Blaine drums his fingers impatiently on the wall of the elevator as he watches the numbers rise. He isn’t ridiculously impatient, but he knows that every passing minute is one in which he can change his mind. And he can’t change his mind again. Blaine sighs, bouncing slightly in place until the bell dings as he reaches is floor. He immediately flees the elevator, taking long strides down the hall, watching the numbers go by until he sees the room he was looking for.

457. His lips turn into a smile as he pauses outside the door. Blaine bites his lip and takes a deep breath before reaching out, knocking a few times before dropping his fist back to his sides.

Blaine waits, sliding his hands into his pockets as he waits. His smile grows as The door opens to reveal his best friend, Rachel Berry, logically in her pajamas. He grimaces slightly and smiles apologetically, “Hey uh..sorry, I know it’s late, but I needed to talk to you.”

"It’s alright, Blaine, come on in," she says, yawning as she steps aside to let him in. "I’m just warning you, if you need advice, I’d take whatever I say with a grain of salt, because I’m exhausted," Rachel says as she closes the door behind Blaine before leading the way toward the kitchen. "I was going to make some tea?" she says in a questioning tone, raising an eyebrow as she turns to face him again.

Blaine follows after her, shrugging slightly at her question as he leans against the counter and keeps his hands in his pockets. “Sure, thank you,” he says with a small smile, watching as Rachel turned toward a cabinet to pull another mug out.

"So," she says as she puts more water into the teapot before setting it on her stove. Rachel walks over to her kitchen table and sits into her chair before looking back to Blaine with a raised eyebrow. "What can I help you with?" she asks with a smile, crossing one leg over the other as she turns full attention to Blaine.

Blaine bites the inside of his cheek, taking in a deep breath before walking towards the table as well. He takes the seat across from her and leans slightly on the table, folding his hands in front of him. “I um…I’ve been thinking a lot lately,” he begins, keeping his eyes down on the table in front of him. “I’ve been thinking about…back in high school when we kissed, and when we kissed a few weeks ago…and those other times,” he says, grimacing slightly at his wording, He sighs and rolls his eyes, “I’m sorry I’m being so ineloquent right now, but I’m just not sure what to say at all,” he admits, frowning slightly as he chances a look up at his best friend.

Rachel smiles lightly, reaching across the table to place her hands over Blaine’s, meeting his gaze. “Hey it’s okay, it’s just me. You can tell me anything. Just breathe…and go,” she says firmly.

Blaine relaxes immediately at her touch, and he takes in a deep breath at her command. “I’ve been realizing…that I don’t think I’m….gay,” he manages out after a few moments. Rachel’s eyebrows shoot up slightly in surprise, but before she can say anything Blaine continues. “I think I’m bisexual…no no that’s a lie, I know I’m bisexual, because all I’ve been thinking about the past few months is how badly I want to be with you,” he says firmly, staring directly into his best friend’s eyes, pleading her to understand. If she didn’t feel the same way, he could handle that. But he couldn’t handle her reacting the same way Kurt had when he was in high school. He couldn’t handle the condescending tone, and the lack of acceptance.

"You…" Rachel begins, her eyebrows furrowing together slightly in confusion as she tries to place herself into the situation Blaine’s words seem to paint. Blaine raises his eyebrows slightly as he waits for her to continue, and when she doesn’t he frowns as his eyebrows pull together in concern.

Blaine stands up to walk around the table, not dropping Rachel’s hands as he does so. “..Rach?” he asks in concern, crouching down slightly to look at her. He opens his mouth to speak again before suddenly he’s lips are met by hers. Rachel kisses him, and with only a seconds hesitation Blaine kisses her back, a hand immediately moving into her hair. He pulls back slightly, his eyebrows raising, “So that means..?”

"God job up," she groans, but her lips are turned into a smile as she kisses him again.
