Though he balked at the sight of the chain again, stiffened as he heard the familiar clink, the sight of Thrax waving it around as if it weren’t tied to countless lost souls was enough to make the cell draw his weapon. He wouldn’t pretend to understand the virus’s reasoning behind it, nor did he care the motive, but Osmosis had a trembling grip as he raised his gun. Damn it, he was right at the beginning, he could stop this right here and now before the bastard could actually do any more damage.
It was a coverup, the nose, throat, aches, pains-- mimicking the common cold. He KNEW this virus, knew what he had to do to get in without a trace, and swallowed. He didn’t care the state of the place, and insult aside, was determined to come out on top this time by a long shot versus the last time they’d tangled. Though Drix wasn’t here, he didn’t need the pill to beat him last time, so this time with everything stacked in his favor there was no way he could lose.
