This ask literally made me jump for joy. Dex looking through readers phone 24/7 is a headcanon I firmly believe in and will ride at dawn for. It should be just as synonymous with his character as hitting a target imo!

Dex definetly scrolls through and browses readers phone when she's asleep right next to him. Reader might even be perched in one of his arms while he holds the phone in the other, and she would never know. (Or, honestly, maybe she would- because we saw with Julie just how bad Dex was with hiding his stalking LMAO he was found out in like two seconds) Regardless, Dex is 100% naive enough to do this blatantly and right next to her.

It's not that he expects to find anything shady unless you give him a reason too...but can you blame a guy for getting a little paranoid? (Yes, you can. You definitely can. Don't listen to Dex.)

I don't know if anyone else has seen that tiktok trend where boys do those loyalty tests on their girlfriends??? I don't think Dex would actually do this, at least not in the conventional social media way, but that sort of mentality reminds me of him a LOT.

He likes checking your phone anyways. In his mind, there shouldn't be any secrets between the two of you regardless. This is simply him reassuring himself of that fact. Privacy? What's that? Why would you need anything to be private from him, unless you're hiding something from him?

He's been in the FBI. He's witnessed firsthand all the shit those scumbags had on their phones. The dirty secrets all kinds of people keep from their loved ones. Their double lives and their affairs. He's just...checking. Most of the time it ends in nothing out of the ordinary, though Dex might go out of his way to block a few numbers you don't talk too anymore- or old flirtatious DMs before you met him. His jaw is probably clenched so tight seeing an ex's number or random guy liking your picture. He'll make a mental note for later to pay a "visit." (They are dying. There's no arguing that.)

And while this is a headcanon for another time, I also wouldn't be surprised if Dex is firm in his isolation of reader. I think he would very gradually attempt to phase out her social media all together. That's step one. Step two is literally everyone else that isn't him besides close family, if only for the fact he wants to be apart of your family like a normal guy. Be an upstanding and perfect boyfriend, have your dad call him son and all that.

But back to the original ask! If Dex saw that readers entire gallery pretty much consisted of only him, he'd be flustered beyond comprehension- and nothing short of elated. He might have to put his hand over his mouth when he undoubtedly makes a sound of sheer shock that almost wakes you up.

Those eyes of his are just focused so intently on that screen. That phone is trembling in his hands as he scrolls, breathing getting heavier and heavier. He registers just how...salacious the pictures are. He's just fixated, scrolling mindlessly as he internalizes the amount of intimacy.

There is two ways this goes. In one scenario, I don't doubt he has to set the phone down just to take a breather and stare at the ceiling. He'll watch the fan spin while his fingertips dig into you subconsciously. He's not letting you go for anything. The entirety of New York could be on fire on the outside of your building. You'll die together, just like this. And he'd die happy in that moment.

And in another scenario, he just gets himself so worked up that he can't help but reach out to you, tracing the lines and contours of your skin- mirroring your own lust right back at you. He'll get so hard so fast, and he doesn't want to wake you up...but he just can't help it. If you don't feel his hips grinding roughly into your back while he pants, you'll be feeling his fingers stuffing you full in the morning.

Either way, he won't get a wink of sleep that night, and it's only because he's having trouble grasping just how much love the two of you must have for each other. He really doesn't think he deserves you. But make no mistake, he'll thoroughly show you.

All it takes is a naive grin from you to reel him back in. As soon as you're back home, and there's no dishes in the sink, and no mess to clean up. He's only settled when a controlled environment is established, with you at its center.

He'll tentatively relax in your arms with a hesitant raise of his hands to cradle you back. Breathe you in. He always closes his eyes when he has you like this. All to himself. Where no one can hurt either of you. The way it should be. You quiet the noise until all he can hear is the soft sound of your heartbeat.

But the noise you quiet in his mind is never fully silenced. Not when he knows someone out there could take you from him. Not when there's someone out there that could hurt you. Scare you. Even just...annoy you. Strip his peace away with you.

He fantasizes about what he would do to that poor, excuse of a person. How he could take that annoying cashier that inconvenienced you out back and watch his blood paint the brick wall.

This is such a cute ask! Unlike Buck, I don't think Dex is as suave with nicknames or much of a "daddy/sir" guy. This ended up getting a fair bit NSFW btw!

I think he'd adore the basics. "Baby/babe" is a big one- just because it's so normal. Dex loves that. It startles him, the normalcy to it- how easily it falls from your lips. It's just so natural and casual for you, and so social accepted and universal, that Dex always perks up a bit when he hears it. Makes him feel like he's fitting in with the rest of the world.

I think he'd love "Honey" too, just because it's so domestic. It makes him think about what it would be like if the two of you were married. He dreams about it. Settling down into a quiet life, just by your side, with no outside world or noise.

I think Dex has a problem separating domesticity with permanence. He confuses the two quite a bit. And what I mean by that, is that to Dex they are synonyms. You do mundane chores around the house together, you go for runs, you call him honey. It makes him dream up a future with you- a future that, alongside every domestic action you do, feeds into his obsessiveness and delusion that your relationship is forever. There is no catch. No escape. It's permanent. You're not leaving. Ever.

As far as kink goes, I think Dex is just one of those guys who prefers to hear just his name. Unlike Buck who gets off to a formal title or roleplay as such, I think Dex likes hearing his name from your lips when he's fucking you. He likes knowing what he's doing to you. To him, your period is an extension of that.

I can imagine Dex offering, in his own way, to eat you out constantly when you're on your period. Like Dex, I wouldn't be surprised if he pretends to charm and insist to you that he's doing it for your pleasure. He just wants you to let him make you feel better, darlin'. Yeah. He's a slippery motherfucker like that, because the moment you escape you're not leaving that bed until those five days have passed. It's not hyperbole. Remmick will keep you there so he can drink every drop.

It's gonna look like a crime scene happened in-between your thighs, with his vampire saliva and your period blood. His face, too, is just gonna be covered in the stuff. Not very hygienic, Remmick.

It's killing two birds with one stone for Remmick. He gets to taste his favorite food, and the both of you can get off together. What's not to like? He would hate to waste a good meal ;)

When it comes to noncon with Remmick, I think the only reason he hasn't nonconned reader is because he manages to charm them first. We also see Remmick has a bit of a moral compass, disliking the Klan. So it just depends whether or not he wants to cross that line.

Fortunately, he pulls out all the stops before using force, just like when he wanted to be invited in. His honeyed words, his promises, the feeling of him pressing himself into you just to show you how poor and desperate he is. And like Dex, even if he did noncon reader, it wouldn't be shameless. Remmick loves you. He sees you as his family, his immortal companion. He'd probably try to gently shush you while you scream and gently calm you down before coercing you back to it again. I can imagine him acting like a twisted motivational speaker while ignoring your pleas. You got this, baby.

A character who I do think would noncon and would be ridiculously into period sex is Homelander. I haven't written much for him yet, but with the new season release of The Boys it seems apropos.

Homelander is similar to Dex, although he sees it less as a femineity thing and more of a motherly thing. You're on your period. Means you could get pregnant. Means he could be the one to put a baby in you. Or he could be said baby.

I like to think Homelander acts grossed out by period sex. It's natural gut instinct for him to say it's disgusting and make a face. But when he's face to face with your pussy, and the sight of blood is pooling from out of you, the way it signifies your fertility...this weirdos jaw is clenched and he is practically gulping like a cartoon character.

This is actually making me giggle because reader really would have to comfort him for like hours after the fact. It really depends on the prank, because you have to be EXTRA careful with Dex when it comes to this sort of stuff, kind of like carrying around an extremely fragile vase. He's volatile like that.

See, Dex gets jealous very quickly. So I really don't think reader has to do very much to get him riled up. She could bat her eyelashes at the cashier at a corner store, and Dex will already be staring the guy down with nothing short of a death glare and a clenched jaw. You'll notice all the telltale signs of aggressive, burning hot jealousy.

Dex's first instinct is to profile anyone you come into contact with. Old FBI habits and all that. Who are they. What do they want from you. His mind runs through a log of questions he's too busy fuming to really answer. Then, his thoughts direct towards you. Are you flirting back? Do you want him instead of me? That's when his eyes begin to dart to anything in the vicinity he can pick up and lob at this guys face.

He has all sorts of physical tells for when he's jealous too. It's just one of his behaviors you learn very early on, because it's just so obvious. Even if he tries to hide it. The unnatural stillness and tense body. The way his eyes harden. The way his fists flex at his sides, itching to just grab something. Grab you. The way he interrupts, clearing his throat, as his irate voice cuts through with a forceful, gritted out "You done?"

Dex really finds even the slightest things irritating. Inside jokes he's not apart of, you turning your back to him while you talk to someone else. He shuts doors harder then necessary, and by the time the two of you are home, he's already breaking down.

Depending on the offense, Dex gets worked up really quickly. He gets overstimulated at a lightning speed, and you'll be trying to calm him down while he's punching walls and breathing heavy. He's angry at you, angry at that piece of shit you smiled at, and angry at himself for acting like this. He just can't fucking help it.

You can really only calm him down by staying with him for hours, still and unmoving at his side. He'll make you feel it. Guiding your hands to feel his heartbeat when he can't just get the words out in his anger. Trying to revert to whatever rituals and structure the two of you have to keep him in check.

He'll keep watching you like you could disappear, and it irks him that you really might be able too. That you could want too, deep down. His insecurity already keeps him up at night, that he's just not good enough for you. That he's not good for you.

Regardless, he'll keep you under his arm for however long it takes. He swears if anyone looks at you like that again, or if you look at them like that again, someone might become just another statistic. Whether that's you, himself, or whoever unwittingly approaches you. Would do you some good to remember who you belong to.

Just imagining Dex before his obsession for his north star really begins, especially if she's the one asking him for a first date, just the slow realization that someone actually likes him enough to seek him out romantically. I think he goes from 0 to 100 real quick: stalking her, learning everything about her, just wishing the days would go on faster so he could see her up close on their next date. I think the best way to describe Dex before the obsession blossoms is socially awkward and high strung (i touched on this in my last post lol). He doesn't necessarily know how to deal with someone taking an interest in him.

See, Dex is an attractive guy, so I wouldn't doubt he's been approached at least a couple times before. We saw that Julie was interested at first. The thing is with Dex is that he's never taken an interest in anyone (besides his north star), if only for the sole reason of protecting them.

I feel like there is a bit of an initial savior complex (cough cough, "i'm one of the good guys", cough cough) where his thought process is that he's genuinely saving whoever is taking an interest in him by rejecting them. He's a very self conscious, admittedly unhealthy individual. And because of this, he is very self deprecating! He knows he's unstable.

However...I feel like if he knew reader, even on a surface level like he did with Julie, and observed their compassion first hand rather than just being some girl at a bar, that's when he starts to feel like he's walking on cloud nine at the suggestion.

I agree with his obsession going from 0 to 100 real fast. It starts off as him placing reader as his new north star in his head. It's not initially a romantic attraction on his behalf, and I think he attempts to combat any thoughts in his head that say it is. However, since reader is the one to show romantic interest, and he would literally rather commit suicide then reject his north star in any way, he plays along. At first.

I often think about what would've happened with Julie if she didn't quickly find out about his stalking. We saw that Dex only informed her he wasn't romantically into her because he was found out. Something tells me that if reader approached Dex romantically, he would have no problem playing along. This is essentially the gateway drug to Dex's romantic feelings towards her. "Playing along" quickly turns to Dex gladly settling into the role of boyfriend exceptionally fast. Even if the two of you aren't exactly even labeled yet.

And he loves it.

He adores everything about it. The routine to it all. The outings with you, the casual conversation. If this is FBI Dex, he likes telling his coworkers about you. Saying the words "my girlfriend" to everyone he meets.

He realizes just how much he likes doting on you. The take-out dinners at his place. The pecks on the cheek that hesitantly evolve into rough, intimate nights. The sex. The being inside you. It's almost like a complete merging. He finally has someone. You're his family and his person. Outside of just being a guiding light, you are the only personal relationship he has. And you approached him. He often doesn't think he deserves you.

This blooming romantic obsession of his naturally turns into stalking. Although, it's a different type of stalking then what it initially was. He most certainly stalks his north star even when the relationship isn't romantic, but when it is? It turns into a far darker, more intense fixation. You're practically being monitored 24/7, and the only times you aren't being watched is when he's got his arms wrapped around you on his couch.

Just like you said anon, this stalking most certainly evolves into learning everything he can about her outside of just day-to-day life. Now, he looks in to learn her romantic preferences. What flowers you like, so he knows what bouquets to get. Going through your phone while you're asleep to satiate an unfamiliar possessive ache in his chest. Sitting in his car, making sure you get home safe. Clenching his jaw when he watches some guy hit on you, hand twitching on the car door, about to risk it all just to throw the nearest knife into this dudes eye socket. Watching you touch yourself after hours, looking at and studying what porn you watch.

I really wouldn't be surprised if this ends in an almost golden retriever (or rather, doberman) house husband Dex. He's elated. He's got a girlfriend and he's got a north star all in one.

Annoyed?!? Oh my god anon, absolutely not. Awkward? Yes. Fidgety? Yes. Entire body tensed up like he's about to explode every time you touch him? Yes. But he eventually settles in.

It's funny to think about Dex almost being like an injured rescue cat experiencing affection from it's owner for the first time- although Dex is less scared of the affection and more just...unsure what to do with it at first.

You touch him briefly and out of the blue and he just goes rigid. His face ends up being frozen in place- completely blanking and at a loss for words. Every. Damn. Time.

But, he relaxes into it pretty quickly once he realizes just how damn good it feels. How much it grounds him to the present. How you help filter out all the noise and buzzing in his head. Just with a touch. Those lips of his will twitch into a soft, crooked, and genuine smile.

Though, I believe once he eventually settles in, he can become smug about it.

We all know how hesitant he was working for Fisk- but once he settled in, he settled. I don't know if anyone remembers how he was in DD season 3 when he basically went out of his way to tell Vanessa he was the new James Wesley. He didn't even have to do allat, but it was a reassertion of his spot in Fisk's world. That he was the bigger, better, replacement and upgrade.

I think this kind of mentality also applies to this. He very quickly learns and understands his spot in the hierarchy of your affection and claims it in an almost puffed up, haughty, proud way.

Like yeah. That's his girlfriend. Touching him. She's not yours. You don't have what he has. Fucking loser. (This is literally his smug cat mentality surfacing once he gets used to it.)

If this is DDBA Dex, I can imagine him really showing it off. He can be kind of an asshole about it. Maybe even brag about you to Matt while he's all bloodied up and fighting, holding it over Matt's head through a pained, crazed smile that he still managed to find someone so perfect before Matt did. Him! If only to twist the knife in Matt's moral, karmic code. Him. You belong to him. Even with all his flaws.

I 100% agree with you that Dex leans to a more dominant role in bed and I'm curious of what you think he'd be like during aftercare? Especially in a scenario where his north star kind of clocks how he restraines himself during the deed and she too wants to explore something rougher with him, them being in a new relationship and all that(this was way too detailed sorryyy, I'll read whatever you write like a starving medieval peasant).

This is actually a really good question because I don't think Dex is familiar with the concept of aftercare and rather just practices it unconsciously!

After letting himself go in bed, and you inevitably end up with bruises from how hard he was gripping your hips, a stinging on your cheek from his palm, or the sheer amount of hickeys decorating your neck (I like to think he gets lost in the feeling, not even realizing the amount of marks hes making), it means Dex is immediately confronted with everything the two of you just did and he is having a PANIC ATTACK.

Realistically, especially if its a new relationship, you might have to be the one taking care of him at the start of this new sex life. Dex is still exploring the ropes of his own sexual sadism given I personally think he's a virgin and held himself back his entire life.

He literally feels awful. In the moment it feels like fucking heaven for him, but after the adrenaline passes, his thoughts are flying at a million a minute. His fists are clenched, he's panting heavy, apologizing profusely. He's gonna worry himself to death at first unless you help reel him back in. You're the only one who can.

You're going to have to live up to the North Star title in this scenario, at least at first, and actually guide him. Place your hands on his shoulders and reassure him it's fine. He'll be reluctant to agree at first, angry with himself and his impulses (just dealing with the fallout of giving in, and feeling guilty for how good it felt.) I wouldn't be surprised if you have to sit him down and have a genuine talk with him about how BDSM is completely healthy within a controlled enviornment.

See, these are the key words that will actually make Dex calm down. A controlled environment. Dex loves controlled environments. He can do that.

I feel like this would be almost like a "given homework" situation for Dex where he inevitably ends up researching and practicing healthy BDSM. It's almost like another version of the tapes he received from Dr. Mercer in a way. He looks up forums, relaxes himself, really puts in the effort to understand what to do and when. I like to think he would catch a glimpse of some girl in bondage on a wiki article, and just obsessively picture that being you. He really does go the whole nine yards. It's a combination of some remnants of his guilt that will always be there, coupled with just a genuine protectiveness for you. It's interesting too, because I still don't think he quite knows what aftercare is (or at least the actual term), but it just comes so naturally for him that you two never have to talk about it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Dex is an acts of service man. That's his love language through and through. Which means aftercare consists a lot of him offering to help you out. He'll offer to cook something for you, he'll get you water. He'll massage your sore legs and exhale in relief that you're staying here with him. That he's lucky enough to have you. And if there are any marks or leftover cuts from the nights sexual activities, Dex will clean you up with a shaky but grateful hand.
