I saw the latest Reindeer Reader ask and now I gotta ask about Orca Eclipse's reaction to their antlers shedding. When reindeer antlers come in and are growing they have a soft fuzzy velvet on them. The velvety stuff on the horns is what brings the nutrients to the horns and make em grow. So when their at max size the reindeer will shed the velvet and make their horns nice and smooth. The act of shedding however, as one of my teachers put it is something that looks out of a horror film. The velvet has blood vessels in and and the whole thing looks a tad gory. Doesent hurt at all but it's quite the sight to see.

The blood and velvet all stripping off in gory pieces would alarm Orca!Eclipse, to say the least. Y/N gives no reaction otherwise, and he perhaps wonders if you've gorged another creature with your antlers and hadn't bothered to clean up the entrails. Of course, you find the stripping of velvet a bit long and overdue, but when Eclipse asks what on earth is happening, you calmly explain while peeling one piece off and tossing it to the side. Eclipse is not shy about blood or butchery, but he does ask you if it hurts. You tell him no. He's revealed.

He'll then ask you if he might strip the remaining velvet pieces off. You allow him to do so—gently, of course.

What whould happen if harpy YN was the one to find the baby orcas and desided to take them under their wing (*budum tiss*) before even meeting eclipse?

You couldn't help but catch the desperate, shrill chirps carried by the wind. It's not the cries of chicks, but you feel how small they are in the calls. You waddle cautiously across the ice and reach a breathing hole where the small sounds are coming from.

You never imagine upon looking within you'd find two pairs of small, wide-eyes looking up at you, mouths open in whining hunger. Their small bodies are black and white, but one is tipped in golden yellow colors, and the other has gradient edges of deep blue. They squirm in the quickly freezing water, ice cracking around their tiny, shivering forms.

Then you're seized with terror. If little sirens are here, large ones must be close by.

You should retreat, you should leave before the parents return and decide to make you into a quick meal for their young... but you can't turn away from their little faces. They cry out. Small hands tipped in nubby claws cling to each other. Their complaints of hunger prick your heart.

You wait. You stand by, prepared to dive away on your belly should a siren see you far too close to its babies but they never come.

Their crying grows louder and louder, and your heart softens and softens. Strangely, the young are alone, left so close to where other predators could snatch them up. Perhaps... Just maybe...

You look upon the young and smile at them. Carefully, you dip your flippers into the freezing water and pick them up, cradling one in the crook of each arm. You fear how little warmth you can offer them upon the ice with only your feathers and their slick rubbery skin but like nestling eggs, they dig into your side and their crying falls to whimpers.

"Hush, chicks. I'm here. I'll find you food."

You don't notice the shadow that just arrived at the breathing hole, searching for an unfortunate seal to dine upon but instead discovering a wonderful strange sight. A harpy with the feathers of the penguin tenderly tending to siren young.

You are beautiful.

Those babies will need to be guided in the water, and of course, they require food. They're so sweet and small.

He can provide, he will share the burden of child-rearing, and show you how he can protect his new family. In return, he will make you his.

Sleuth Jesters Eclipse has plans for you this very hallowed evening. There's some business he must attend to, and you'll be on his arm the whole while. There might be danger, but you'll face it bravely for him, won't you, sweetheart.

Thinking about the sanario in which insteed of eclipse y/n encounters a siren like the one that vennessa's mom encountered, but their "mate" conveniently dies before eclipse encounters y/n. y/n is just a newly turned aquatic creature having the worst time ever.

This is just peaked panic for Y/N to get snatched up by a greedy siren, turned into one, and left stranded in the ocean with a very unwanted mate. But a silver lining arises when an orca siren stumbles upon you, a proverbial fish out of water (human off of land?). He sees how frightened you are and clearly trying to escape this suitor. How could he not help you get away? Eclipse becomes your savior.

He takes you far away from the siren. He knows your teeth are too blunt for proper hunting so he gives you seals and fish, but you hardly touch it. He tries to teach you how to swim but you just want to curl up on the ice and weep. It's hard, watching you sink into misery at what was done to you. He sings to you. He sweeps wet locks from your face and whispers that it'll be alright. He will protect you. But none of it seems to work.

Until one night he takes you to the surface under the aurora borealis. It's so stunning, and for once, your face lights up to admire it. He kisses your cheek and shows you that there are still good things. Even if this wasn't your choice, you can still thrive. But that only makes you bubble with tears again. You sob against him and he holds you tight as he listens to your woes.

You want to become human again.

But Eclipse just found you. He was alone until you swam right into his arms to escape the other siren. He can't lose you. He can't turn you back even when he has the magic to do so. Please, stay with him, birdie. He'll make you happy. You'll smile again like you did tonight, learn to sing songs and feast on seals. Say you'll stay with him.

You can't. Your tears flow into the sea and Eclipse brushes your cheek but the bitter smears of salt remain.

He'll only keep you for a little while. Just enough to get a taste of you, then he'll turn you back. Yes, he'll do that. He won't go back on his word when he gets too attached, right? And you accept his answer. It's the least you can do as thanks, right? But he'll change you back soon.

He won't refuse later on when he holds you so tight and refuses to let you go, right?
