STYLING WITH RED Red in one of my most favourite colours and I think it works very well with the Indian skin tone. If done correctly Red can create magic. When I made this saree I had a clear image of what I wanted 'Laboni' to look like. I knew everything had to centre around the colour 'Red'. I have purposely left Laboni's hair uncombed and a bit wet, it gives her a real charm. The red bindi instantly connects her to Bengal , where the character in my story is based and the green embroidered blouse compliments the red beautifully. The green jhumka does not take away from the saree but just brings the whole look together. Laboni is wearing minimal makeup including khol and lipstick, I don't think she needs any more than that.
