Despite seeming to be all-knowing and in control, for Swain there were truthfully only a few things that were completely within his understanding. There were his values, of the value of strength and unity. There were his powers, darkness gnawing constantly on the edge of sight but still within his grasp. And then there was the Trifarix, the cornerstone of Noxus’ future: Vision, Guile, and Might. His foresight, the Faceless’ manipulations, and Darius’ pure strength.
That was why the general almost smiled when he saw the oh-so-familiar armour. From the white hair stripe to the axe gripped tightly in his hands, even down to the weary warrior’s face. It was unmistakably Darius, which meant at the very least Swain had an ally here to better navigate this strange land. Perhaps even more familiar faces would emerge, to better take advantage of this unique opportunity that had been presented for the Empire.
“Darius! We have a lot to discuss if we’re ever to reform this city for Noxus. There’s much work that needs to be done.” Stepping confidently into the other’s line of sight, Swain had already mentally reassured himself. Now here, at least, was a loyal friend to help make sense of the world.
