PFFT, Dark Beloved meeting Abridged!Belos:

A!Belos: ... So let me get this straight, you were hanged after I left, were reborn several times only to be killed around the same age by something pertaining to your neck, then were reborn THIS time and became a necromancer because you realized I left you on purpose?

You: *eye twitching at him with a growl and a death glare*

A!Belos: *dodges a blast of dark magic then turns to Luz, grinning ear-to-ear* LUZURA! I HAVE A GOTH SPOUSE!

Luz: YOU SOUND WAAAY TOO HAPPY ABOUT THAT! THEY'RE TRYING TO KILL YOU!

A!Belos: They're just moody! Besides, you have a goth girlfriend, you should know hot having a goth partner is!

Luz: *covering her ears and looking traumatized then looks at you* If you miss him, hit me so I don't have to listen to this!

Any current thoughts on dark reader

Dark Beloved being the one to corrupt Philip back in the 1600s, telling him that if he loved them, he'll kill for them, possibly someone who has been giving them a hard time. Or they were caught doing something they weren't supposed to be doing *cough*human magic*cough* and knew Philip would never believe anyone who pointed them out as a witch so they got him to take care of that person. Of course, he'd latch onto any positive attention they give him and do as they ask before it becomes second nature to him.

This could carry over to the current day if Dark Beloved were to go to the Boiling Isles, realize who Belos is, and continue that behavior, bringing the man to his knees.

Dark Beloved AU:

Luz: Why do you think Y/N- er, your ex is doing all this? Do they hate you?

Philip: Oh no, Luz, it's nothing like that. My ex just misses me... *ducks a powerful black magic blast that incinerates a tree right next to him* ... But I do believe that their aim is improving.

Luz: *angry that she actually laughed* YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE THOSE JOKES >8[

Odalia is probably pretty pissed off that she’s been replaced by “some human” and the supposedly dead emperor

Considering she was trying to get the Collector to do what she wanted, yeah. The moment she sees the boy doing what you ask him to, she might just scream. >XD

"Well, if you were more loving like a mother should have been, maybe you would have gotten the same results."

"My dear, she couldn't even be a proper mother to her own children, I doubt she has that capability."

"Oh, now that is just tragic. Those poor dears... I might need you to find them for me then. I can at least show them how a real mother is supposed to act. At least then, Collin will have siblings..."

"... No, no, that's fine. Really- Wait, "Collin"?"

"What? I'm tired of saying "Collector". Besides, it sounds cute..."

Odalia is sitting there fuming that she's getting roasted by the supposedly dead emperor despite his grievance with the whole situation >XD

Beloved, after you resurface from being shoved in the lake: THAT BASTARD! I'LL SLIT HIS THROAT FOR THIS! IVE BEEN BETRAYED ENOUGH-!

You: *grumbling under your breath when you notice your surroundings... accompanied by several coven guards with spears pointed at you* ... Ah... that might have to wait...

Beloved: THE HELL IT WILL!

Later, at the palace:

You: *standing there in heavy chains looking pissed like you went through a dryer that exploded* I hope you're happy.

Beloved: *looking like the cat that ate the canary* More than you know.

Guard, shaking slightly: Sire, we found a wild witch, but they took out like, half of our squad...

Beloved: *sees Belos and squints* wait, I think I know that guy...

You: What?! How?!

Beloved: *scoffs* You don't sleep with a guy and forget eyes like that.

You: ... WHEN WAS THIS?!

Dark Beloved in the PreLuz AU would most likely not stay in the background like Belos wanted the rest of the readers. Instead, you may take on a more PR approach and be the media darling. You'd still wear a mask and cloak to hide your identity but become well-known to those of the Boiling Isles.

It also distracts the public from Belos' plan since you'd want to get back to the human world as soon as possible to enact revenge, something Belos was against at first considering it was flat-out genocide, but caved after a massive amount of pouting. He'd agree to it on one condition: Scale it back to only the descendants of the accusers and your executioners. Considering you had no other choice, you agreed. The fun part is neither of you is sure you can trust the other when the time comes.

You're also not allowed to use YOUR magic, a.k.a. powerful necromancy. Belos put a cap on it but does allow you to carry a staff of his own artificial magic as he's not keen on having a technical witch, let alone a necromancer, as a spouse. He's getting used to the word "hypocrite" coming from you.

Thinking about the Dark Beloved/PreLuz AU and LOVE IT!!! There'd be another antagonist for everyone to go up against, but they have more sway in public - moving hearts with their "compassion" and countering arguments with logic. Everything coming quite easily for Dark Beloved, while everything became quite complicated for our heroes. Also, recalling how PreLuz!Reader attempted to take Hunter with them out of the Castle when they learned about the abuse. Would like to think that when Belos had Hunter alter their memory, that is the moment Dark Beloved emerged.

Oh yeah, and the moment that Belos is down for the count, Beloved is going to feel the binds he put on them release which would probably make Beloved become UNHINGED at the fact their husband is no more. I mean, he'd be back, they're a freakin' necromancer, but in that moment, they are going to be PISSED with whoever did it.

I like the PreLuz/Dark Beloved mashup because when the two see each other again, there's no words. Belos knows it's them but is hesitant wondering what they remember, only to be tackled down the moment he and Beloved behind closed doors XD

Dark Beloved may not give Hunter that sort of treatment as he looks like someone who set off a chain of events that led to their death. It's probably best if the two avoided each other... or Belos has to keep Hunter from Beloved because he doesn't trust them alone with him.
