Dark Booktok is such a funny place to be.
You've got the veterans, people who've read fanfics since they were like 13 and nothing can faze them. The darker the better. If the TW list isn't at least a page long, they don't want it. It's a shopping list at this point.
And then you have those newbies who are just coming in. "Omg a knife?!", "he cut the hands off?!" Or "is consent not a thing in dark romances?!" All of those cuz they've never heard of various kinks as knife kink, dubcon, cnc or are just weirded out by dark themes.
